in Credit cards
After my recent divorce I've been left with five figures worth of credit card debt. I'm in the awkward situation that my credit rating is down the toilet, but I'm paying 19% to four different providers so I can get any other balance transfer cards to at least cut down on the interest that I pay, and i'm struggling to get a loan for anything less than 25% ish to consolidate my debts.
It's alos going to greatly reduce my effectiveness when it comes to new properties.
I doubt I can go into a bank and hand over my credit cards in return for a consolidation loan if I promise no more spending, so does anyone have any tips on how to dig myself out of this seemingly bottomless pit of debt?

We'll need a little more detail on debts, rates, lenders and income and credit history to help.0

I think you have proved the saying............
Banks will lend you an umbrella when it is sunny, but will take it away when it starts to rain!
As ZX81 stated it would help to have a bit more info, but from what you have said so far......
Have you checked that everything is accurate on your credit file?
Ensure you always make at least the minimum payments on all your credit cards.
If you are close to the credit limit on your four credit cards, lenders will be wary of giving you more credit. Better to try and lower the percentage credit utilisation as this then doesn't make you look as desperate for credit.
It might be worth trying the below eligibility checker which will give you an idea of whether you are likely to be accepted for a preferential credit card .
