What stick would that be? "I told them I paid for a ticket and they assumed I was the driver but I wasn't"? What if they were the driver? What does that stick do that all the others don't?
"The driver paid for a ticket, see attached" will do you a lot better than "I paid for a ticket, see attached".0 -
Many thanks for the replies and suggestions0

I recently had a similar issue and fought them, and won.0

I am not arguing with you H. merely pointing out yet another logical fallacy in a poster's argument. Has no-one here ever studied logic? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Not for the first time, The Deep has to behave like "Mr Logic" out of the Viz comic, derailing the thread in the process. I'm sure he means well, but....
Perhaps it would be better if such challenges to are made off the forum.
For the record, I agree with Fruitcake - give the PPC as little room as possible to say words to the effect of "aha! you were the driver, therefore..." etc and potentially make it harder to win at POPLA using non-compliance with POFA.
I simply do not see any "logical fallacy" in Fruitcake's post, just good sense and trying to make the process as fail-safe as possible.
There is a reason for the advice in this forum to never use "me", "myself" or "I", and always refer to "The Driver", why potentially make life harder?0 -
As i have not received any NTK letters i did not make an appeal as I thought that the matter was closed however today I have received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus insisting I pay a charge of £149 immediately.
How should I proceed with this?
Thank you in advance for your help0 -

The NEWBIES thread tells you to ignore debt collectors. Why didn't you appeal as advised?I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
I didn't appeal as the advice on here was to wait for the NTK which I haven't received0
