Crazy cat lady - sounds like you have done brilliantly, how old is Zoe, remember when miss hoodie had her 1st. Xmas she was 3mtbs it sounds daft but it made Xmas feel more real.

Just sorting mums Xmas prezzies out, she's having kindle fire - best thing ever she is the least computer literate person - and a new mobile phone - nothing wrong with hers but she goes throu phones like rest of us go throu hot dinners so just got one for £40 off Amazon.

Miss hoodie is having iPhone 7 (it's 3 way split) few odds and sods - includes a tassimo machine.... hoping to get a few bits for her at the mo she knows everything

She had an early prezzie last ngt - her ears pierced the 2nd time / she had no idea told her I was taking her to get her ear checked - had the stud at the top of the ear. Xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

She's three months now. And it is feeling very different. I got my elf on a shelf, even though she doesn't know what they are yet. And she has so many "baby's 1st Christmas" things :)

Hi everyone, I've just caught up. I've been really busy lately and my internet keeps playing up, it's only just working now (11.15pm) and wouldn't connect all day to the computer, the wifi connected to my home phone and tv but not the computer and that's what I use for most of my internet activities and I can't work out what's the problem, it's being doing it since Tuesday.

I've got eyestrain from using the phone all day so will do some proper replies if I get a computer connection over the weekend - anyone else having trouble? It's BT that I've got.

I have about 5 presents left to buy for Xmas. I'm quite dissapointed in myself as I wanted it all done by now, but at least I know what I'm buying. The reason I've struggled, is that everyone is now asking for specific gifts and its more difficult to bargain hunt that way. At least, the recipients will be getting exactly what they want, so I know my money won't be going to waste.

I must rethink my strategy for 2017.

Back on home soil, had the most amazing weekend away with miss hoodie - we went to Prague, it was amazing, the xmas markets, thou bargain hunting took some doing.... stopped in one cafe and a small glass of coke was £3.
Brought lots of ginger bread, mead, and some beautiful wooden tree decs, so popping a little extra in a few presents,

Made rush with cards... as the post office are in strike for 5 days starting next week, don't know if it's all in one go or spread out... so mad rush, I've got 3 presents to post, will need to wrap them up for post office on Thursday xx

    Hello everyone,

Mum2one, I'm very glad you had a good time.

This year my friend has done all the food shopping and keeping as much as possible at her house (she's got an extra freezer) until the last moment so I only had to concentrate on the other food for when the boys are staying.

I'm finding just this part difficult because I don't really have much room in the kitchen plus some of the food needs to be bought later in the week as needs the fridge and no room in my freezer.

So my plans for next year is to come up with a shopping list for the week before and after the 25th and get it in well advance if it's non-fridge items.

I still haven't finished writing local cards, may get a few more pressies as my friend's birthday is this week too and want to get one more thing and I haven't started on the gift wrapping.

This month has been difficult as my friend has had a lot of hospital visits etc I've gone with so it's been a bit hectic and her previous spare freezer broke.

How are the rest of you doing? Are you all sorted out or have extra bits and pieces to get?

  • Hope you're all ready for the Boots sale in the morning. Know I'm not the only one who will be online first thing :)

I think last year I happened to wake up at about 3am and thought I'd get it done while I was up anyway!
