Updating electoral roll info

Hi Emma /experian
I have recently moved and found i needed to register to vote to be able to apply for a loan for a new motorbike after successfully registering with the council to vote i was informed my details would be passed to all credit agencies as of the 1st December and updated accordingly.
This means that i have been awaiting this information to update in order to be able to travel to work on the 1st of January Equifax successfully updated my details with my Voting details now visible however after reactivating my Experian account you have failed up update and display my account details.
After numerous calls and emails i was told two weeks ago it was due to the spelling of my name on my experian account differing from my electorial details and was asked to send in a ID scan which i did but still nothing was updated i then logged into my experian account and saw my name was displaying correctly and emailed again to question the discrepancy.
The response below now states its my electorial details that are displaying differently and not my experian account
I have now called my council and also received a letter form them stating my name is showing correctly!!! as on there register and on the details sent as of the first of December and on the letter i have received.
Also Equifax has confirmed and updated my details with no issue what so ever so it is now clear the error is being caused by your incompetent admin staff and has caused myself and my partner alot of stress and inconvenience and expensive phone calls for an error that is your own.
I would also like to add that i have just called your team again and have tried to give another excuse of they may have possibly taken the name on the register from my old electorial details but heres the catch, this is my first time registering to vote so i wasnt just updating my details to a new council this is the one and only time i have registered to vote.
I have spent far too much time chasing your company for mistakes that do not exist , i have paid this months account subscription purely to view when this update would occur and have paid for nothing but a disappointing and stressful experience of a company that is cutting corners on there admin and customer experience for the sake of profit.
Funny enough i just called again and now have been told you havent recieved my electorial information yet? which is why its not showing which is lies as you recieved this along with every other credit agency as of the official annual canvas update release which was december the 1st 2015 we are now 2 months later and you still not only havent updated my account but are trying to palm me off with lies and excuses everytime i call its a different excuse!!! Please can someone contact me i have sent emails a complaint email and still nothing0 -
Lopes 91. you may wish to delete your name from your post. Never a good idea on a public forum, as this is, to show your full name.
Also you can send them a private message from here, I believe.0 -
The underlying question here is, why should anyone ever have to deal with CRAs? Between them, local councils and the CRAs trade your data without your permission and then screw things up for you. We are not customers of the CRAs and have no relationship with them. If they are doing something that adversely affects you they should have to pay a price. Why don't they? Oh yes, they aren't regulated! *
* The so-called regulation of the ICO does not fit any definition of regulation that I've ever come across.0 -
thanks running on empty
thank you for your advice , i have no doubt even if they respond they will probably give another excuse, the joke is equifax updated my details on the 1st of january and that was a free credit report for 30days ive paid to resubscribe to experian to see they have updated my details too and a month later still nothing but lots of excuses. Its very frustrating as because of this i am having to either get my partner to drop me to work at 5am or get a unreliable train or sometimes stay away from home as i do delivery work so my shifts are very early or late all of this because experian cannot do what i pay the subscription for ...I dont know what else to do its amazing how this service isnt monitored more closely as its literally delaying peoples lives0
