I fancy this car!
But dare I?When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Right, I did around £136 worth of alterations this morning. Staff had unpicked hems, pinned, folded and ironed where necessary and I sewed. I was on a roll, but had to come home for the builders. One was outside drilling through the wall but the rain has started so let's hope it doesn't last long! The other is replacing my kitchen light at last.
The garage has just rung to confirm it is the cambelt and that I'm looking at over £1200 repairs, so it's not cost effective.
Looks like I definitely have to buy another car. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

*Sensible head* tax is £295 a year!!! (convertibles are a higher insurance bracket too) & electric roof to me says serious potential to go wrong. On gumtree there is a private sale 2008 corsa in brackley that looks reasonable if a little dull
Yay to getting lots done this morning, boo to the cam belt, unfortunately it's one of those things that if it decides to go it goes big time.
Great that staff is assisting in prepping the jobs ready that is a big help.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
- Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps0 -
£232 insurance for me, fully comprehensive. Not too bad.
Yes I know electrics can be a risk.
But also there are times in life when you just have to have a bit of fun and I think that it's time I had some of that. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

The car sounds interesting but I cannot view it. Took the http:// off and I can see it.
Sometimes a little of what we fancy does us no harm!!0 -

We had a car with a sunroof once. Never again. It leaked.... Even after being fixed..... It was a Fiat sports version. never again.0 -
Oh dear!
Mind you my current car leaked and the passenger footwell was always wet!
Audi have a good reputation, but I will be careful.
One of my friends are going to babysit this evening so I can go back into work to catch up on some of my lost time lately.
The rain has been relentless and it made life very difficult for the electricians but they finally finished with the help of my bike cover over their power tools transformer when it was slightly less rain. Ofcourse it was thunder storms at school pick up time. We got wet of course.
I did bring some sewing back and did it this afternoon. So not feeling too bad about things. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
The Audi will be very expensive for you to run and a time bomb waiting to happen as far as electrics goes.
Audi are not as dependable as they used to be and are plagued with engine management problems.
Look around for a Peugeot 107/Citreon C1 or Toyota Aygo
Same platform on all them, very dependable and reliable.
Cheap to run and insure .
You should be able to pick up around a 2005-2006 for around 8-900 quid.
If looking for slightly bigger, Toyota Yaris. If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.0 -
Oh Mooloo, you're not having a lot of luck at the moment are you.
Does your old car have any scrap value or will you have to pay to get rid of it?
I was wondering a few days ago whether your neighbours were at last respecting your dropped kerb?

Managed to sew from 7.15 to 9.45 and as I had no interruptions I actually managed to sew £100 worth of work!
So today I managed over £215 worth of work. Feeling happier. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
