Nothing wrong, just thought you might like to know we got a brand new one 2 weeks ago on a PCP for less than we were paying on our Audi A1 1.6 Diesel (259).

Wife is very happy as it's got the Bang and Olufsen sound pack and heated seats.

I'll zip up my flameproof suit now..

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all MSE's

My only comment would be that to buy a TT that is diesel defeats the objective of having a TT

I assume that your version is some kind of economy version?

Again I wouldn't buy a TT for economy.

But if the wife likes it then why not.

To me having a economy tuned diesel in a TT is like having the same in a WRX Impreza.

Not my cup of tea, though I would have no issue driving diesel powered Impreza.

But if we all had the same opinions about things life would be extremely boring.

But the Impreza diesel engine doesn't out perform the petrol does it?

Glad she does, I had use of a quattro TTD nearly 2yrs back, economy wasn't any better than a petrol that was 60ps more, handling was no better probably worse and very little space in the back although you may get dolls in the back seat .
But the main thing is that you are content with the deal and the car.

She gets 55MPG (tested full to empty) in economy. Substantially less in Dynamic....

The one I had use of was giving 41-44mpg on a run of 35 miles A roads and motorway.

By your comment you have failed to understand what I meant.

But you are saying that the Audi TT Ultra, 184bhp according to a quick online check, is quicker than the petrol version?

Even the TT back at the start had 225bhp. There was a lower powered one I think that had 180bhp.

But just to clarify I wouldn't buy the entry level petrol version either.

If I was buying a car like a TT I would want the Quattro version.

Why have a car that looks like the TT and have the entry level.

Oh, by the way is this your only Sign In name as you seem to post in a similar way to a few others on here.

    You know.

Short pointless posts that are generally sniping or argumentative but in not way adding to the forum or thread.

But in the interest of balance Inthought Inwould do something that I suspect you didn't do.

    0-60 of the 1.8tfsi is 6.9 secs

    0-60 of the 2.0tfsi is 6.0 secs

    0-60 of the 2.0tdi Ultra is 7.1secs

The top spec Quattro 2.0tfsi is 5.3secs from 0-60

All figures from Carbuyer.co.uk as the Audi website is a pain to navigate on a SmartPhone.

I must admit I am getting older.

But I always thought a lower 0-60 was better?

My preferred TT would be the Quattro.

If Incould afford a sports coupe that is.

Though hopefully the OP and his wife will get several trouble free years from it.

And being new will likely have AdBlue and therefore not be part of the VAG Emissions scandal.

Diesels are very easy to drive, especially pooling round Town due to the torque.

And due to being in a PCP you can get rid when the warranty is up!

Obviously 184bhp 280 lb of torque and 150mph aren't enough for you. Where would your wife use the extra performance of a V6 Quattro?
