Karoo Internet OverUsage Ridiculous Charges

Hi there forum,
So my internet pack is 35gb per month. This month I have exceeded it by 17gb and my internet company have let me know they will be charging my £2 per gb so an additional £36 for this overuse. Typically my package costs £31 for 35 gb. Add to that a 100gb a month package costs £35, yet I am being charged minimum as it stands £67. This doesn't seem fair or reasonable to me? Do I have any rights in this not being fair?
Summary
Monthly Package I have (35gb)- £31
Monthly Package above mine that comes with 100gb standart - £35
Charge Im facing having used 35gb plus 17gb over use -£67
What are your thoughts? I am just shocked at how much the over-usage charges are!
P.S they possible will increase as its still not the end of December!

I'm sure it's in the T&C's somewhere? £5 per 5Gb rings a bell from my old Plusnet contract and I think BT do the same.
Personally, I'd look to move to the 100Gb contract, or find one that has unlimited usage so you're not having to worry constantly - most providers do unlimited now.
EG my Plusnet is £16.99 line rental and £10 for unlimited fibre broadband.0 -
Hi chaps, just to follow up on this spoke to the company and they agreed to half the charges. I have also moved the package to a higher one for the following months so as not to let this happened again.
Kind regards0 -
Sadly is the norm for high charges outside your package, same applies to mobile data too these days.0
