I signed up with clear score for my credit rating and no hard or soft search had been done by BOS. May be a timing issue but there was a clear score soft search done on the day I installed the app so I doubt whether any searches are done when rejecting the overdraft
Check again in a few days or a couple of weeks' time. Searches aren't reported in real time. All the current accounts I ever applied for have resulted in searches being recorded though I have never checked how quickly they do get reported.0 -
I'll have to send off for experian and Equifax credit reports.
There's no searches (for bank accounts without overdrafts) showing on noddle, but it looks like the main banks don't use call credit.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0 -
I only ever check Noddle. All my current account applications eventually show in Noddle.0

Thanks Colsten. I am now signed up. I can say that Noddle is a doddle to set up. I have never bothered with credit reports before. As Noddle is free it is silly not to check it out. Even with all my current accounts there I have never (yet) had a refusal. The screen presentation is easy to follow. A convert to Noddle.0 -
I'd also recommend clearscore, it shows up things that Noddle doesn't and it's also free.Homeowner:j0

Ive signed up for clear score and also use noddle.
Neither show any searches for my extra bank accounts.
They were taken out, without a overdraft, between 3 months ago and 14. Nationwide, Tesco and First Direct.
I've not checked the third CRA yet, but two out of the above three use both Experian and Equifax for searches according to the mse article.
Seems reasonable to assume not signing up for an overdraft will mean no hard search, if any at all.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0 -
I use the 6 that pay >3% and can be opened and operated online only (no branch/post transactions required). Happy to hear of more but couldn't see any in SS2's thread.

bit groggy ............T and Cs say
"More than £300 per month can be paid from month 2 onwards if the maximum monthly balance, which starts at £300 in month 1 and increases by £300 each month thereafter, has not been reached."
Does that mean I could pay £25 a month until month twelve and then in that final month make the total up to £3,600?0
