    I gave mine to my son - it was a very large one that I had bought on 'offer'. its just too big for two people so gave it away. but, I DO 'borrow' it back when I have family parties or BBQs! I can do a dozen burgers on it at a time!
    and they cook in four minutes as the lid cooks it too.
    I loved it for chicken breast (flatten the thick part and it cooks better). sausages (but you will never EVER use cheap sausages again when you see the 'gunk' that comes out). AND Steaks! its brilliant with Steak. you can do 'Paninis' on it too - I used to weight down the lid with a brick.
    I found it great with bacon - am a bit puzzled why others say it doesn't cook it well? my DIL says it cooks bacon the best too - but mine was an 'older model'.

    Never owned one even when they were very popular, so I'm not much use here :o

    However my sons when they were teens got me a very hot panini press with shifting plates and I can do all sorts on that. When I say quesadillas for dinner I mean cooked on it in minutes. Bacon and all sorts come out great and it's easy peasy to clean being flat plated top and bottom. It's also slim to store, with a cable roll tidy.

    Swap it!

    I hate trying to clean above the elements on my electric oven so tend to use the non-stick skilliet for toasties, bacon, burgers etc. (Easy to wash, but the hob still gets spattered so needs cleaning too. :()
    Thanks for reminding me that I have a GF hidden at the back of the cupboard. I'm going to dust it off and try using it more often. Never thought of using it for chicken and other messy stuff! :)

    We've bought a new GF today, our last being thrown away a few weeks ago and we've missed it. Steaks,pork chops/loins, sausages, burgers, chicken breasts all are cooked on it. Bacon can go crispy on it, but you need to leave it a while. My DS like bacon in a just cooked stage (bleeugghhh) so the GF is preferable as I can leave it longer. I've never had a problem with toasties but the bread doesn't burn (IME) if you need to leave it a while longer for cheese to melt.
