Hi folks - sorry I've not been on for a while but real life seems to get in the way. But I'm on holiday for a week now with DH - so needing a rest.
I'm not updating the lists today - but I'll try & start again tomorrow. Today is a chill day, tidy house day, look at finances as DH has been paid and that sort of stuff.

We've been down to DH niece's to drop off her son's birthday pressie and I managed to womble a receipt from Asda. I've also seen a 2l slow cooker there that I should buy - the 3.5l one I have is just too big for day to day stuff. as DH is now on waiting list for new knee then having a slow cooker in the house would mean I could sort tea before I go to work & take a bit of the pressure off him.

But on the upside - I did start to declutter stuff yesterday
    1&2 - 2 tubes glitter
    3-7 - 5 booklet binder things
    6 - glitter dimensional paint
8&9 - 2 packs reinforced washers (those things for paper in binders)
10 - large volume of Died In Storage rubber bands
    11 - Broken plastic box
    12 - Bookmark
    14 - Elephant's toenail (best not ask)

All these things came from a storage box of Mum's that has been sitting in a cupboard for some time (she died almost 7 years ago)

And one thing from the free to sort annoying things list - took a whole 3 minutes :D

Anyhow - enough for today - the ironing and the finances call

Will catch up with y'all later

Well, nearly the end of out week off together. Chillaxing was the order of the day (or week).
We had out night away in a posh hotel - v nice & tidied up all the toiletry freebies on offer. Breakfast was included - so ate as much as poss & then didn't need food again until night :)

Have invested in a small slow cooker on offer in Mr - we have a 5 l one but as there are only 2 of us, this seems much more practical.

Also a bit more in de-cluttering:-
15 - 19 - 5 Biorb fish tank things - no longer have active tanks so these have been moved to garage to be sold with tanks
17/18 - 2 pieces of jewellery no longer worn or wanted

There is more jewellery to go but as no-one seems to want it I'm not sure what to do with it (some coral so can't give to charity shops)

Another wombled receipt found & added to total

    So today's plan

It's snowing - quite heavily - so today is likely to be a NSD
Need to clean house & make sure all washing / ironing done for start of work week again
Need to review finances & move over money for monthly direct debits
And apart from that - just chill.

    Catch y'all later

Our three diarys all have a similar ring to it I'm going to update mine at least once a week as part of my challenges and to make it a weigh in day . My life is changing rapidly as the kids get more and more independant and so I now have more free time than ever before apart from when I am being taxi lol I have started getting up twenty minutes early to do the minimilism thing so house is starting to take shape but like u clm i want to be able to open the front door any time day or night Good luck with the diaries maybe we could all meet once a week .
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

    Dear Diary,

I have been amiss - and missing as RL gets in the road.

But now am back on track. DH has a new knee, can walk & is back @ work - what a weight has been lifted from us because of this.

But I'm just posting a quick update before I head off to the workhouse. We're on holiday in n5 weeks & I have set myself 5 daily tasks to be completed prior to going off on hols (no idea where yet, but will be in the camper). So they are:-
    • NO ALCOHOL (will help lose weight, sleep better and feel self righteous)
    • Check banks each morning (no brainer)
    • Update Dear Diary once a day
    • Take lunch & breakfast to work (canteen is expensive)
    • Spend at least 30 minutes a day in house or garden (depends on weather)
This should allow me to get my arris sorted before hols & thbe able to go away with a shining halo
Anyhow - will catch up properly tonight as need to head off to work
    Have a good day y'all

    Hi Elly,

Thanks for the catch up. So sorry to hear about your Mum - the firsts are always the worst.... but over time (years) you get to cope with them better - says she who was bubbling at Eastenders 7 years after Mum passed.

Anyhow - happy news (ish) - daily targets...
    • NO ALCOHOL (will help lose weight, sleep better and feel self righteous) - failed - DH bought me some (I think to persuade me to let him get shiny new Sky box)
    • Check banks each morning (no brainer) - passed
    • Update Dear Diary once a day - just :p
    • Take lunch & breakfast to work (canteen is expensive) - done
    • Spend at least 30 minutes a day in house or garden (depends on weather) - have spent the last 2 days getting ironing all done :j
So tomorrow - I need to re-arrange lunch so I have a wee scooby snack in the afternoon as I've been coming home famished & I need to take coffee with me to work. Machine coffee is pants and other coffee costs money....

Bear with me as I'm treading water this week re updating diary daily - but I'll get there.

    Good to speak to y'all

    Well hello again.

It always seems to be DH's that scupper diet/healthy living plans - at least mine does. I'm doing the 5:2 and he knows which days I'm fasting yet I'll come home from work to a huge plate of inappropriate food. I'm holding off weighing myself for 2 or 3 weeks as I want to see a decent loss. Not sure if I will get one though.

Lunch at work is my downfall. I really need to start taking it with me but it is only two days I need to take one so usually end up with a £1 egg mayo sandwich.

Anyway good luck with the 5 things list.

    SM x
