... I asked some teenage boys if they had the change of £1. One of the boys said he didn't but he offered me 50p and told me to keep it. I insisted he take the £1 coin in exchange rather than put it in the parking machine but it put a smile on my face to think of such a nice generous young person.

Aww...If you're this young man's parents, you should be very proud - lovely!

Forgot to add the £40 refund on the car insurance that DH got when swapping policies about this morning :) Updating my total now. Tired and off to bed now *patters away*

    5 eggs from the girls = 50p.

I've got a balance in my MyRewards account that's just shy of £50, and am debating whether to take the cash or trade up into vouchers for a slightly higher value. I've not claimed this as a womble yet, but will add it to my total when I make a decision. Part of me just wants to leave it there accruing slowly and then splash out on a treat, but the other, more sensible part, is whispering that it could go towards a credit card :(

2p coin found in the school car park this morning - a little bit muddy but I saw it flirting :T

    Ooh that's a tricky one:

Part of me just wants to leave it there accruing slowly and then splash out on a treat, but the other, more sensible part, is whispering that it could go towards a credit card :(

On the one hand it is half of a hundred you could pay off..... on the other hand it would make a nice treat should you need one.
