Hi Wombles, Last two days nothing. Well except a little boys blue hat which I had spotted lying in the rain for the previous 3 days. I've washed it and put it in the bag for the charity shop.

At the weekend DH and I helped his boss move some things out of his mum's old house as she's sold it and has moved in temporarily with them until she sorts somewhere permanent. Today DH arrived home with a bottle of Prosecco and a box of Belgian choccies as a thank you to us. How kind! Can I claim gifts as wombles? Not sure if it seems a bit off to do so, as I'll have to look up the costs of the presents...any thoughts? I've already [STRIKE]ripped the lid off[/STRIKE] opened the chocolates - yummy - but the wine is in the cupboard as I'm being a good girl and determined to finish Dry January...:A

Pampers had sent me a sample nappy and a half pack of baby wipes for which I'm claiming £1 nominal value.

Today's wombles include Russian cookies from a colleague from the Russian office, a box of chocolate covered prunes from same, a business lunch (organised by me ) with only two leftover baguettes that will be mine and dh's lunch tomorrow, and about to be ordered: department dinner in a one Michelin-starred restaurant.


You see that I ordered with the department in mind: lunch for 7, and only 2 baguettes left, and everyone was full.


I don't really know how to price all this, so I'll just count my normal day's snack, lunch and dinner money: € 3.

To busy looking after family, shopping and working. Whats a womble to do, must try harder.

Good morning Wombles.

Slim pickings this week. Last night I only managed to womble 3 caramel bars from my son-in-law. He had been to A$&@ and grabbed a load of YS and gave me the bars. They would have been 47p but he got them for 10p each, so I will just claim 30p.

A lone shiny 5p on the way out from the local supermarket tonight. Brings my monthly total to £1.82! Think this year I will bank it as I go along rather than wait until the end of the year

After days of absolutely nothing, I managed to womble 2 leftover bacon sarnies and a pear from the science breakfast club this morning. (value £2.50) and dd brought a shiny 5p piece she found on the way home from school. Yay!
