Today I turned my Wombling frown again at the people who seem on a regular basis to buy new car seats in Toys R Us and just throw the old one away out in the car park, often literally by the look of the position they are left in.

Car seats cost hundreds of pounds often, certainly in the baby small sizes. It made me wonder if anyone knew of any charities who would accept them? I'm guessing it's a no due to safety issues but seriously these are expensive items just left to rot. Grrrr....

I know what you mean, when I upgraded to the next size up, be it pram, cot or car seat, I would always leave whatever it was in my garden, visible from the road, it was rarely there for more than two hours before someone knocked on and asked if they could have it or it simply disappeared. Charity shops won't take them just in case, but I am sure if the shops were a little more proactive they could team up with someone to redistribute.

Perhaps it is worth my while writing to their customer service team and just bringing it up. You never know what might might happen

I bought a Groupon 2 course Caribbean meal for 2 people for £10.50 saving me £26.50 :T

My eldest son paid for my Cinema ticket £4.99

My younger son gave me £40 for my Christmas present :T
