Oooooooh I hate it when coupons do not work.
Used my £5 T0sc0 voucher for party food. Went to the dedicated 'party food' freezer, bought £3 worth, looked everywhere for veggie sausage rolls. 3 different kinds of meat ones, but no veggie ones. Ok thinks I, sausage rolls are def party food, so I nipped over to the 'free from' freezer and there were the new veggie sausage rolls (accidentally suitable for vegans) on 2 for £2.50, so I got 2 bags of 30 sos rolls. Went to the till, coupon would not work, got the till elf over, 'oh, you have not spent £5' he said. I pointed at the £5.50 total. 'Oh!', he said, 'is it all party food?', rummaging about, it was all party food (I had done my proper shop earlier). 'Hmm it's not working!' he said. 'I don't know why it isn't working'. So I tried my not quite Paddington stare, smiled and said, 'please make it work'. So he entered by hand that it was a £5 voucher and I left having spent 50p.
60 veggie sos rolls, 2 boxes of mini veg spring rolls and one box of onion bhajis. None of which I would have bought otherwise, if I am being honest, but they will do as accompaniments to other meals or after I drag the kids out for cold weather walkies.
Claiming £5. Not sorry.
I have had to ask for them to come and accept all the pampers coupons we've had. I have pretty much not paid for nappies since Septemberbut annoying when you feel like you are pulling a fast one.

I used a €5 voucher for the entrance fee to the local WI Christmas evening (incl 4-course 'tester' Christmas menu and performance of the local choir (which was better than I expected)), so I only paid €3 for a shared bottle of wine and got a bit tipsy

At last found some roadkill it's been months
. But yesterday I found 50p on the floor at the bottom of the escalator in sainsbugs and a wet £5 out on the pavement , dried it out and it is as good as new :T
So everybody, the time has come to start thinking about next year's challenge. I can't believe we will be going into the 3rd year of Remember Your a Wombleis that our paper anniversary? It would be quite appropriate if it were considering our love of the paper stuff (reciepts and Wonga of course)
I'm thinking for 2017 of having different categories of Wombling, if that doesn't put people off, we can always keep reporting just one total. Best street finds, best BOGOF buying etc, Most £s added onto supermarket loyalty cards. Anyway I shall ruminate over the festive period. I did hope to see lots of you signing up again for 2017, I love being with like minded folk, I think of you all whenever I score some mega floor change
I'm up for this I might have more success :T0 -

It's not far off saying you found £10 in your wallet
As it was definitely not my £1 coin I count it, but I don't find money in other people's wallets so I don't count that.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
