Well we have been in the new house for 6 weeks now, and the dining room still looks like an Arg0s Warehouse. The other rooms are slowly coming together and I got 3 boys out of my bedroom at the weekend!!! Freecycling the bunk beds as all 4 have their own rooms now, but being mucked around. People are very quick to ask for things, but then expect you to deliver as well and get quite shirty when you politely refuse.
£5 Amazon voucher coming my way tomorrow. Still waiting for the £25 voucher to turn up....

Thanks for the sunshine Dizzy, we are all (except DH) redheads, so we are wilting too, but it does speed up paint drying times. Sad when you are reduced to watching paint dry isn't it.

I only have one big job left to pay for - 2 replacement velux windows - this week. I much prefer saving to spending.
It is slowly starting to feel like I am getting somewhere, rather than just breaking stuff.

And for some reason the boys are all suddenly eating me out of house and home. I suspect a growth spurt due to all this heat, which means new school uniform shopping (eeeeek!!)

Hi, I'm still here and wombling. Had some good luck recently as my neighbour has given me lots of plants for my new garden. They include some fruit trees and are worth at least £20 worth, really pleased about it and have been busy planting.

Went on a wombling adventure to Asda yesterday to try and womble receipts, no such luck, but considering i meant to do this on saturday and was overcome with a panic attack i'm glad i was able to yesterday.

But in tescos they had on offer a damaged box of captain morgans and coke cans, usually ten in the case but one was missing. as a result it was reduced from 10 pounds to 5 pounds!!!! :j

So will deduct 50p for the missing one and claim 4.50. :j

£25 l0ve t0 sh0pvouchers from the postal survey arrived today, they were delivered to the old address, so I rang up to find out why the mail redirection was not redirecting mail.

Someone had taken my name off the redirection!

So made a complaint, this is not the first time, they were still delivering mail to the old house for a good week after it was set up. So we are due a refund due to their poor service.

The vouchers will be used tomorrow for 3 x venetian blinds for 3 of the boys' bedrooms, and the roofers are doing the velux tomorrow morning.

Feels like some jobs are finally getting done! - That being said, I painted two window sills/skirting boards and door frames this morning. I stopped at 12.30 and they are still very tacky now at 5.30. Think I will wait until it cools down a bit to do any more. Not the weather for it.

Wonder what else I can have finished before my birthday next week?

Another great womble here. I looked after neighbour's garden while they were away and they brought me a beautiful tin of biscuits, two bottles of wine and a jar of the local spread. Worth, at a guess, £15....being conservative. Will add to my signature.
