Wombled my free £5 this month from Ha)ifax by not going into my overdraft.

Carpet going down in the 3 top floor bedrooms at lunchtime tomorrow, managed to womble free underlay, so by 4pm I can evict my 13yr old, 8yr old, and 6yr old sons from my bedroom and put them in their own rooms. So I am counting this as wombling my own room back!!

Money is flying out of my bank account just as fast as it is coming in. Looking forward to having the top floor and roof sorted though. Hopefully it will feel like I have sorted out 1/3 of the house.
Must remember to be a careful little womble. Summer holidays are only 6 weeks away, and I don't want to be stuck at home waiting on tradesmen like we have been this half term.

Have been looking at YHA site, and it has always irked me they put up their prices during the kids school holidays, so was really surprised when I found out I can get a room for 6 people for around £40 a night for mid July through August.... at that price it is not much more than camping, and you have the added benefit of the use of a self catering kitchen and it doesn't matter if it is chucking it down. I feel a road trip summer coming on........

2p roadkill. I popped into a Tesco express with my daughter and spotted a small Hovis special edition, Sunflower and Pumpkin seeded loaf. Was 75p reduced to, 1p! I couldn't believe it! I grabbed it quick, and could kick myself as there were about 4 loaves the same price that I could have popped into the freezer but didn't buy them!
    Anyhow, that's a saving of 74p....bargain! :D

Bought myself a Thames Riverboat Cruise for £6.50 via Travel Zoo which saved me £5.20 on the normal advance online booking price.

Did my 1st Sainsbury's online shop:

Saved £8.25 for the 25% discount on the 6 bottles of wine
Saved £10 on the 4 x boxes of 40 wash Ariel Actilift as each box was reduced by £2.50
Got 12 free Ariel 3-In-1 pods with the boxes of Ariel worth £4.50
Saved 10p on the mini naans
Saved £2 on the 2 Be Good to Yourself chilled ready meals
Used the £18 code for my 1st online shop over £60
Used the £12 evoucher Sainsbury's emailed to me for not honouring the Prosecco deal :j

    #33 current total = £2335.53

Hello wombles. I haven't posted in ages, but have been avidly wombling. I have the following to report:

    £6 Tesco voucher
£12.68 price match, discounts and promotions
£15.87 savings on YS items - mainly meat.
    40+ eggs (getting 6-8 a day now!) =£4
A sample iPod speaker no longer required at DH's work. RRP is £59.99, but I'll claim £10.
    Travel mug - £2.79
A jar of home-produced honey and a massive harmful of rhubarb. I'll claim £4 for the honey and £5 for the rhubarb, but that's a conservative claim as there is a huge amount.
Ooh - just remembered they gave me two over-sized leeks too = 50p
Went to a discount designer clothing outlet today, and spent quite a bit of money, but saved £85 as there was a sale on and an additional 20% discount today
And not forgetting... 11p roadkill spotted by eagle-eyed Small as we wandered about.

Total wombles since I last posted = £145.95

So today brought a good womble. Whilst out for a walk we found a very obviously abandoned pair of Nike Air Max (mens) along with some other clothes which were of less interest. Have brought them home and they are now in the washing machine. Had a quick squizz on fleabay and pairs are selling 2nd hand for anything above £30. Not bad for 2 mins work.
