Made my first batch of laundry goop. Used a bar of Knights Castile soap wich worked out at 20p and got the washing soda from Home Bargains for 65p, so think the batch worked out at about 40p. Had some lavender oil in so have used this. Treated myself to a tub with a lid for £1.99 t keep it in (strange how my idea of a treat is changing lol!!) Have also ordered a free dosing ball from Persil.
Really hoping this works as it will save a fortune!

NSD for me again....I have no reason to shop, as I'm staying at my friends to short out more things to sell, save or bin!
In exchange for food, I'm sorting and cleaning the house. Two things I enjoy doing so a bit of a bargain! :D

I've babysat for my DD1 this morning while she took my GS to the dentist. My GD2 was angel as usual, and my DD bought me in lunch, a chicken Caesar salad wrap and bag of crisps....yummy! :p

I must list some more books online and some dvds my sister gave me. That will be my task whilst I'm doing my Friday morning stint babysitting.
I seem to be doing an awful lot of babysitting lately.....I might have to go on holiday to remedy that! :rotfl:

Little bit of snow here too this morning bmma, but sun is shining now.
Have been batch cooking this week, freezing extra portions so should be OK for food next week. Its a good job as the amount I have allocated to live on for the month is almost gone and I am determined not to break into the other account. Keep telling myself that when I retire this extra money wont be there, so I just need to stick to my budget. A present to buy today for my nephews new baby and a day out 'shopping' with friends tomorrow (I will be window shopping but will need some money for lunch) then that has to be it really until 10th March.

My DD1 is worse than me for de-cluttering. She's so organised and fast at doing it too. :D

    Long time no post...

February ended with 18 NSDs and 36.58 earned from selling on gumtr33, interest, cashback, surveys (didn't count overtime) and a revelation...

... you all must have heard, with your frugal ears that is, the desperate sigh I let out when I realised a few weeks ago that I miscalculated my budget. As in totally screwed up !
I took my income including the money I receive for the flatshare. So far so good. Then I deducted all my expenses. Counting only my part of the rent/council tax/bills!

So I was under the impression I'm going slowly but steady and will soon be back on track. Far from it. Very faaar.

What should have been a NSD yesterday, ended up with me having to get a few groceries for my DS2....pain!

Anyway, I have just dropped a parcel off at the shop for collection. Some books I have sold so that's £ 6.60 to add and a surprise cheque from my solicitor for £23.83 contingency, he held back from the sale of my rental property last year. I know solicitors are slow but .....! :o:eek:

I've still got loads of food and my sister is dropping off goodies from her restaurant soon, so I haven't got to buy groceries for myself. Maybe I could get my DS2 on these threads to teach him how to control his money instead of asking mummy for food!;):rotfl:

Day out yesterday and ended up spending £48 on clothes. Did get some nice things though, sale price plus an extra 25% off, so will forgive myself.

Frugally dyeing my hair atm - as it is just a root touch up I carefully measured our half of the liquids before mixing so that the dye will do me twice (usually end up throwing a lot away) Hoping I have the mix right and don't end up with different coloured roots!!

Still within budget - just!!, but haircut tomorrow so this will pretty much wipe me out untli the 10th (payday)
