Some people who are paranoid about 'the man' still use Facebook, use email, have telephones, bank cards, Google search, Amazon, Tesco loyalty cards, etc. If you've any technical prowess you'll know you leave fingerprints just about everywhere, and that it's effectively impossible not to.0

My thought to any paranoia about my search history being monitored, my movements being caught on CCTV or tracked by tomtom/google maps is.... who cares?
