booked butlins with sun in early hours of sunday morning. We go 2nd sept weekend which is still school hols in North yorkshire. received my butlins confirmation today .

rang them straight away and was able to upgrade the dining plan to Premier Dining by paying the difference.

So brill output. Hope everyone else got what they wanted!!

I've booked Butlins skegness in July but haven't got my confirmation yet. Would you mind sharing what the upgrade options and prices were for accommodation?

Also, how much to upgrade dining?

Hi I've been looking this morning to book one of the Italian parks but the only available ones are for tents. Does anyone know if you are able to upgrade to a caravan if they are available? If not has anyone stayed in the tents abroad? I'm not too bothered about using the showers but not sure about not having our own toilet with young kids that might need to go during the night. Thanks

If you haven't requested a tent and that's all that's coming up then all others have sold out so no upgrade would be available.

Quite a lot of the European parks only have tents.

I went to one of the Italian ones in Florence through the Sun Holidays. We quite enjoyed it. My DS has since asked a few times if we can go to other European countries and stay in similar tents.

You could ask to be placed fairly close to the toilet blocks so that you and the kids can find it easily during the night. This will of course mean that you may get a lot of foot traffic passing near your tent.

I have never used the sun holidays before so I am not sure how it works - if I book for 5 people how can I find out if there will be a 3 bed caravan that I am booking?


Do I just need to book and then can I contact the park directly?

Depends on the park, but chances are you would be allocated a 2 bed. It's usually 2 bed for up to 6 people, and then 3 bed for 7-8 people.

You may be able to upgrade to 3 bed for an additional cost.
