Need a way to get rid of a fellow lodger anonymously

Hello all, I don't know if this is where i should post this if its in right section im hoping it is, this place has always helped me with every issue I've had hence im trying here first.

Ok so here goes with something weird to ask but, I'm a lodger in a place with other people but there's one here who lets just say, he's absolutely bonkers off his head, psychologicaly insane and batty out his mind an I've heard so much crap from him that he needs to go into a mental institution and I'm not exaggerating he's nuts beyond belief.

He's been in roughly half a year like 4 month or so now, an he comes out with too many crazy things, he genuinely believes things such as that people in government are lizard people, there's times he comes in anyones room if our doors are open as we are all pretty much good friends an he tries shoving stuff about ufos in our face an no matter what excuse we use he's always like "it's only a few minutes long it won't take that long" an then he just shows more and more, an if we close our doors as such he literally knocks on them a dozen times about it, constantly goes on about being a shaman before he came here, how much of a tough person he was in rough areas of the country and he randomly has a few seconds outburst where he just shouts out swearing, he believes aliens have spoken to him at his window before and he believes Obama is an ancient egyptian God that was cloned, all of this is when he's sober as well btw.

Yeah there's times he's been loudish raising his voice at well beyond 3am in morning when he is drunk but you know what that's fine by me he can scream to high heavens I barely sleep anyway, it's all this weird psycho gibberish he comes out with an what I've mentioned is just half of what stuff he comes out with, no I can't mention it to landlord either as tbh I am not the only one that thinks he's scared of this psycho, it's not just people in house either, there's people nearby that's met him that have said things like "he's out of his mind" "have you seen the crazy one lately".

I was wondering is there anyway that we could anonymouslu get him to leave/be moved out? I say anonymously because baring in mind if it can't be done we have to live with him still, an I've already had nightmares that he's gonna take me into woods and chopy head off in my sleep.

I know it's a strange question to ask but he's driving the rest of us more insane than he is

Unless he leaves of his own volition or is carted off by the men in white coats then only the landlord (who I assume lives there since you are all lodgers) can evict him. Have you spoken to the landlord about this lodger? What does he/she have to say about the matter?

If the landlord doesn't want to do anything then you'll need to vote with your feet and move out yourself or learn to live with it.

    It's down to the landlord.

If the landlord is happy living with this nutcase there's not much you can do.

If he's as nutty as you say, surely the LL must be as p*ssed off as you?
  • Is he a lodger or does he have an AST? If the home owner lives in the house, and he is indeed just a lodger, then they will just have to man up and ask him to leave. It won't matter how long he has lived there as lodgers don't have the same rights as tenants.

If you are all on a shared tenancy and the landlord / home owner doesn't live there though, you're really stuck with him and you'll need to read the contract to see when the soonest you can leave, or try and get the landlord onside so they can try and help evict, but this can take months and might make him feel even more persecuted.

If you think he has a mental health problem - and it does sound like he has - can you ask the local GP to contact him?

Otherwise, I think for his safety and other people's, you could speak to MIND and get some advice. https://www.mind.org.uk/.

Mind might be good for some advice. Not on housing law, but on whether he might need medical help, and how to access it.

I doubt a randon GP would do anything.

If there's a disturbance of the peace, or violence/threats of violence, the police could become involved, and they might well then call in social workers/medical experts. Ultimately he could be Sectioned (though this in itself would not end his Licence at the property.

I find it hard to believe you "can't mention it to the LL" though. I mean, either it must be equally obvious to the LL in which case perfectly normal to discuss this mutual problem, or the LL is not aware in which case I suspect PasturesNew must be right.........

The last time I heard a similar story, the mental lodger who heard 'voices' decided to burn the place down. No !!!!.

From a forensics perspective, gunshot residue is detectable for around 5-6 days after discharge.

Blood splatter, fingerprints and DNA can survive much longer, sometimes indefinitely.

I'd therefore recommend a sniper rifle.

But if he's one of the lizard people himself, you'll need to use a bullet made from unicorn horn and shoot him on an evening where there is a new moon.

  • As I've stated before to those about talking to Landlord, he is more than likely in not just my opinion. But others as well that he's scared of him due to all his talk of being in rough areas and prison so many years ago, an the fact he's had random rage outbursts in his room then stomping downstairs and going out, coming back then stomping up again an then screaming and I've heard him punching stuff before as well.

I just don't want it to get to a point where he gets so unruly he starts dictating the landlord because he's actually a really good person the landlord, plus the fact with all the talk of the religious stuff and the fact none of us bar one other lodger has admitted to being a Christian I don't fancy my head being sacrificed just incase he thinks the rest of us worship the devil, can more than happily be as religious as he wants, but when it starts getting to point where he's calling himself "a soldier of christ" then that's wayyyyy up the cuckoo tree.

Not just that but after using a dummy facebook I made I've found him on facebook where he makes videos, trying to say he knows all this information about what the government is up to hiding aliens, hearing trumpets in the sky, the blood red moons were gonna end the world, the cia once tried recruiting him, the illuminati is aware of his presence, he is literally Grade A screwed up upstairs, I seriously think his own family knows it because they keep making plans to visit him here or he tries making them to visit wherever they are and they always give it a while and phone back and chage their mind.

    Lmao at Kinger

I'll look into this Mind thing because I want it done the right way, unlike the nutty batcase that claims to have anxiety and depression I ACTUALLY do have anxiety and depression so I know mental health sucks So i would like to get him help asap

now the truth is finally revealed. Actually it is you who is making a mountain out of a mole hill because you struggle with your own demons.

as has been said by others, only the LL can "get him out", you can't. GP's are not going to contact strangers on your say so.

you have 2 choices/: ask the LL to evict him or move out yourself.
