You are assuming they aren't Christian .....by your logic all atheists should work Christmas day too ?
I really dislike posters like yourself. I posted a perfectly factual statement and you've tried to make more of it than I said to satisfy your own ignorance.
India is not a Christian company therefore they don't celebrate Christian holidays as we do. Therefore just because the uk's service industry shuts for xmas the none Christian world doesn't. None Christians in the uk will also have the same public holidays as Christians because public holidays aren't decided by a persons religion but by what the norms are for that country.0 -
Christian or not, the thing about Christmas is that its the one time of year you can bank on almost anyone having time off and being able to spend time with them. I know followers of other faiths that look forward to this week for that reason, even if most would strongly prefer that situation to coincide with their most special holiday, be that Divali, Eid or another special day.
So my thanks and respect go out to anyone who has worked the past few days in the UK, even those who have no special feelings about the holiday.0 -
