Cancelled my contract with Vodafone to end on 11th May. Was wondering why calls were still coming through on the old phone so tonight i rang vodafone to asky why. According to them on the 11th i phoned them to continue the contract when i didn't. I had already taken out a new contract through E2save. Of course Friday night there's no supervisors or managers about and i was told i would have to give another months notice. Why should i, i can't afford to pay for two phones this month.

Ring up and ask to speak to a supervisor/manager again. Ask them are calls recorded because if they are then say you rang up on such a day to cancel and you insist they check their records and in particular the relevant tape and listen to the conversation themselves.

Also ask them why would you someone ring up to continue the contract when you (and everyone else for that matter) knows that contracts are continued automatically after the minimum term (12 or 18 months) anyhow unless cancelled and insist that you'll take this further with Otelo (Office of the Telecommunications Ombudsman) / OfCOM.
