    I'm 25 with 5 years NCD and I pay £297 for a 2003 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0Dti.
When I was 22 with 2 year NCD I have a Subaru Impreza WRX with 220BHP and this cost me £1200 to insure.

But I think your location is a very big factor in what you pay and the power of the car is not always aa big an influence as the type. When I insured my Subaru the quotes were a similar price for a 320BHP version.

Partner is 33 with 3 yrs no claims driving a Ford Mondeo and his is still up at around the £800 mark (and even higher without me on there as a named driver).

I'm age 31, 4 years no claims, drive a Citroen C2, fully comp approx £250. I don't have my partner as a named driver anymore as he now increases my policy, so he just doesn't drive my car at all these days.
  • We're both 80, no points on licence for either of us, maximum NCB, fully comp. We drive a 2013 Ford Fiesta Titanium automatic, £47 per calendar month by direct debit, Churchill. DH has trawled through all the other insurers and comparison sites and hasn't found a better deal for us anywhere else.

  • 30, 0 no claims (due to only being a named driver for over 2 years I lost out) and I live in Benfleet (South Essex). Car is a Honda Legend 3.5 V6 and I'm paying £575 for that. Sure it's a big engine but it's pretty obscure and anonymous so probably (touchwood) not something a thief would go for. I was paying slightly more for the 1.0 Punto I had before!

I'm 31 with a Ford Fiesta (2008) and my insurance was £600 when I bought my new car recently.

I've got five years' no claims bonus (I had an accident in 2010 which was my fault) and I also had to 'claim' on the insurance to get my windscreen replaced on my old car in August 2010.

I have had a look around on comparison websites and my current insurer couldn't be matched elsewhere (unless I increased my Excess).
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.
