    lorenjane - what is fixed is the unit price and standing charge - if you use more than you or the supplier guessed then there will be more to pay than the DD you have been paying; if you less then there will be a refund.
    Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    Welcome to the forum.


    It would appear that you(and many others) are under the misapprehension that a gas/electricity fixed tariff is like the old Powergen 'Staywarm' tariff - which was rather like an 'one price for all you can eat' restaurant menu. ie. you paid a fixed price regardless of how much gas and electricity you used.
