Yes she is clearly quite a remarkable lady !
  • Got offered a voucher for £18 off my first online shop with S*****bury But I have to spend £60 and no booze or quite a few other things AND they say they charge for delivery, Now I do shop there occasionally - I scour the meat counter for discounted stuff, and teh fish. Sometimes they do good discounts on Glenmorangie and Bacardi etc.

generally though I shop at the German discount stores, so I'm struggling to see how S***** can beat them on a £60 "general shop" even with the dsicount :o when you take into a/c I would find it hard to spend £60 on stuff I need without at least a couple of bottles of spirits :o

So does anyone know how much delivery they charge ? I follow the link but it says the site is "Not responding"

    Evening folks
Well done all the money making again this week :T

I have made just £1.70 on surveys but had a nice £3 bonus from Con Pulse for doing the twelve monthly telecom surveys last year (get 50p a time for them as well) :j

I have renewed my newspaper subscription for the year so that's saved me £59.28 against buying it every week Mon-Sat. I like having a decent paper every day and at 21p each that's not too bad.

    So that's £63.98 added today :j

I did get a MOC at Morrys but I don't count that on here as I count it in the Groc Challenge :)

Hope you're all having a great weekend and staying warm and dry

I don't know how much the delivery is - sorry :o

But I get these MOC offers and find that Mr S is generally too expensive for me, as I tend to use discounters and £shops. £60 is quite a lot without alcohol and I'd struggle to justify that tbh.

I do get a £40 delivery from Mr T every couple of weeks, using any MOC's they have, special offers and alcohol - but I am still on a 'free delivery' with them as they closed our local store last year and offered it for 12 months :)

I do go to Mr S occasionally if I have N*ctar points to use, but usually at 'sale' time and have a punt through the undies etc and then any YS stuff I can find.

  • I've been at the decluttering for years too and dear knows how much i made before :rotfl: just really started working on this challenge at beginning of jan using 10,000 steps idea and its going really well so far - only completed about 40 steps and made over £300 already - its keeping me really focused :D

That is amazing ! - getting on towards £200 a week, but your record shows that you are likely to do it :T

Yes that's how I see it Lynne. Years ago when I had allotments I used to go regularly to price up the vegetables I'd grown and see how much I'd saved (They were the dearest vegetable purveyors I could find - made the saving look great ! )

Like you Kantankerus, I've Never used a delivery service for the same reasons - It just seems a shame to leave £18 "sitting on the table" :(

I just imagine all the sms are big spiders trying to lure me into their web and take all my money. Whatever they offer you it is obviously in their own interests and not mine :rotfl:

jUst caught up with the thread.
I really like the idea of 10,000 steps fairyclicks, it really breaks it down into do-able chunks.

I can join you on hitting the target lexbubbles, I've managed to make 361 Francs in total now by selling a hanging lamp, paper collector and baby football table.
This has cleared out a massive amount of stuff from my house already but I still have more to go. I'm really enjoying is so far.

I dont often shop in the higher end supermarkets (I stick with Ald@ in Germany) but when I do I often get till generated MOC. Even with type reduction they don't come anywhere near matching my regular shopping costs so I rarely use them. It's just to lure you in an hope to get you to spend more.
    Trying to keep in budget.

I've just read an email from eBay with an offer for 100 free listings and 'no more than £1 final valuation fees'. Must read the Ts and Cs but might be worthwhile.

They don't give much time to get organised though, it's only for today and tomorrow and I've got loads of non money-making things that I must get done today:o

I might try lexbubbles' way by putting some things on BIN instead of my usual auctions. That way I'm not racing against time to get the listings live by tonight as I generally always do 7-day auctions to end late on Sunday evenings.
