    - best of luck with whatever your change of circumstances throws at you, do feel free to come back to the challenge if plans change!

linzipinz - thanks for the target update, good luck!

Hope all the dribs and drabs is ok. Would it be easier if I totalled it up once a month?
I don't mind either way - personally I'm a huge fan of the 'chip away at it' approach to getting rid of the mortgage, with OPs large or small whenever there's a bit of spare cash, I think that's a really great way to attack bring the balance down. So i'm happy if people report several smaller payments over the month rather than one big one - I find it quite motivational.

It helps me if people let me know the running total too though (as you have done!) as otherwise it can sometimes be a bit confusing :)

#46 reporting February overpayment of £124.92.

Still aiming for £3500 this year but have decided to pay extra off the £6.5 k 0% interest CCs in Jan & Feb.....just because they are bugging me.

OPs might stay at low values for a while until the CCs are paid. We shall see. Not quite decided yet.

    Good luck everyone...!

    #120 £270. for feb only.

Had a crappy month tbh the boiler broke so i had to sort that out . Then on Sunday we got broken into so we need to up security at the house. Looking at a very large gate and lights etc. Might have to take off the mortgage as a have a flexible one, but on the upside i am putting at least 10k in in June.

Fingers crossed February is a better month and well done everyone.

    Keep going.

That's really rubbish, sweepster. Have you managed to get everything sorted out? I hope you manage to recover anything that might have been stolen and they catch the culprit.

  • No. 47 here. So far I have not made any overpayments. My DH is off work due to a bad back and is on Stat Sick Pay. I am putting money away to make an overpayment as soon as I know we don't need the money as back up, but I won't declare that amount because the figure could go down. However, I still hope to meet the challenge I have set us, so I thought I'd just pop in to say hello and that I'm still here.

Well done everyone on the progress you are making so far.
