#32 reporting an op of £565.55 for February.
With just over 4 weeks until our first baby is due, & still a lot of work to do in the nursery I think that will be all for a little while!! We have however saved up enough to ensure I can take a year of maternity leave & not be much worse off wages wise. We were also lucky that DH had a nice payout from his previous employer as part of a delayed payment when the company as taken over, which meant we didn't have to use our savings for work we've had done to the house! :jMFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -

Morning all - sorry for the lack of an update last weekend, life got in the way
, but up to date now. Well done for all the January OPs, we collectively managed a very impressive £67,129 for the month, and February's off to a solid start too!
linzipinz - not too late to join
let me know your target and any OPs in 2016 that you'd like to include. And Welshlassie, welcome aboard! I've added your Jan OP
sweepster - sorry to hear about your rotten month, fingers crossed for the rest of the year!
turtlemoose - I've updated your target, good luck!
laura_hoggle - all the best for the arrival of the baby! Our first is a hulking great 17 year old now - even our youngest is almost in double figures, which seems impossible - but remember it all well. It's a great time, a few sleepless nights but lots of fun
I hope its acceptable rather than OP the money directly to the mortgage, I have set up a 5% T$B regular saver to pay OP's into.
Absolutely acceptable
- there's no right or wrong way to OP, but I do the same as you with a regular saver for cash that i'm not sure I can OP right now - I let it build up over the year and then if I don't actually need the money for something else I do a lump off the mortgage when the saver matures. 0 -
And I've managed £76.47 so far this month from some cashback that turned up, the regular £600 should then go out in a few days. The first few months of the year are proving to be tricky on the OP front, my £12k target for the year feels a long way off at the moment, but should hopefully pick up by May and then full steam ahead
