Forgot to add - at the joining meeting they told me they work with the local Council, however this wasn't true. I was considering reporting them for this - but nobody really cares :-(0

I have just sent the letter, ...
Did you get any proof of posting? (This is available free at a post office.)
Also even if you send a letter by registered post I would send another copy with a simple proof of posting. (The reason being the recipient might refuse to accept a registered letter, and it could take you some time to find out that they never received it.)0 -
I must admit I was tempted, but then did as said in post 26 - thanks to everyone and I hope I'll make some progress. I also told the newspaper because I felt like people should know what they are doing - that was my emotions though not me! :-)
I may be wrong, but I doubt a newspaper will be interested unless you are prepared to go on record and name the company.0 -

Local rags would love this sort of local story though I wouldn't advise going there soon with it.
But that is some upselling they are doing there.Dont rock the boat

I'd suggest her learning Kung Fu then challenging the Karate master to a fight.

You could maybe also post a copy of the letter through the premises door with a selfie with a newspaper, etc., just in case they keep playing silly. Or handed over to reception in a similar manner.0

PS, I agree those rates are abusive - adult Krav Maga classes in Bath are £40/month for upto 2.5 hrs/week training! For what they wanted you to pay it would have been worth sending your daughter here in a taxi ;-)0

Thanks all I posted using my online postage account, it's better for me as I have a tendency to leave letters in my car without posting.
There are a number of branches of this company, each has hundreds of members, there were about 40 in each class we went to and classes run nearly every day and last 30 mins each.
Probably not sensible as you have suggested, but there are a lot of us in the same situation.
I think I'd be happy to have a photo for the newspaper, because the relationship is already negative now.
Thanks again0 -
It's worth speaking to trading standards too as they will know their history.0

Smells fishy.
OP claims the organisation are fairly large but won't name them, yet happy to do a photo op in local paper.
A fairly in depth Google reveals little matching said organisation or fees structure.
Doesn't add up IMO...0
