Only 87p for me this week. I have dead on £10 left in my current account until payday on 28th but it's planned! I'm getting myself off the credit card - at this stage of the month I'd usually have £500-£600 on it but I only have £160. My aim is within 2 months to stop spending next month's money in this way. So I'm lower in my current account than normal at this stage of the month (usually I would have spent a lot of this money too!), but I only have one weekend left (i.e. weekly shop) to go on the credit card. And I've been using my TSB card (TSB is for savings) and "reimbursing" from my main current account immediately, so I get the cashback but don't touch the savings.

10 more days of pain but it'll allow me to save harder and faster in the future, plus add a level of security as I'd be living on money I actually have. I'll keep the credit card as it is cashback but do what I used to do and pay it off immediately, like I'm doing with TSB now.

I was determined to do this whilst saving and it looks like it's working. Just need to remember not to use any more current account money so I don't go overdrawn!

Just transferred £20.56 into my pot bringing my total up to £100.53. Doing the weekly and daily challenges stacks up quickly! It'll be even quicker next week when I add my monthly in as well.

I've opened two new current accounts this week because I was with Santander and I was gaining such little since they raised the monthly fee that I've gone elsewhere to make my money!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend, happy saving!

I'll give this a go alongside my aiming to save £12k in 2016.

Shall aim for £100 by years end.

Currently moving bank accounts so shall start in February once the switch is complete, then update won't progress at the end of each month.

Hi, can I join in too please - I'll transfer some money from my bank account into a savings account later today. I hope I'm understanding it correctly in that I am going to put in money from cashback on Quidco etc/money I've made from selling things too.

For my target can you put me down for £500 please and I'll just see how I go.

    Thank you!

ETA: Please can you put me down for £47 saved on the spreadsheet. Many thanks.
    Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting
