The BSA has never issued reminders, including under the Labour govt.
My point was that it was irrelevant trying to compare the reminders issued for TV or Driving license renewal because they are a reminder of money owed, not of potential Benefits to be claimed. My mention of the current government was only to underline the fact that such reminders are even less likely to be sent now than they were in the past.

Are individuals incapable of setting a reminder on their phone, or writing it in a diary?
Most are, but some notable exceptions may not be.

Then its nothing to do with you go and change things in your own country
    Really?

The UK is my country. I just happen to live somewhere else at the moment after 46 years living there since birth. I can even still vote in the UK.

My three brothers and their wives and my nephews and nieces are still there.

My 82 year old mother just had a replacement hip replaced again and currently receives home care.

And I can't have an opinion? Wow, just wow.

As I said earlier Get over yourself.

I'm now wondering if that avatar has some other meaning. :(

    OMG are you serious?????

You cannot opt out of the NHS database. If you have been born in this country, or have received NHS treatment, you will be on it. You are confusing it with the Summary Care Record, or care.data or something.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Or save millions by being proactive in getting payments that would other wise be lost, and you ARE supposed to prove exemption at the time, but as I have said before Dentists and Pharmacist so not want to be the gate keepers and refuse treatment due to the abuse they will have to endure.

Well, dentists and pharmacists should be the ones the NHS chase after for the money, then.

You cant opt out of having your name an address and DOB - front page only but you can opt out of everything else I know this as I had to go to emergency GP surgery and was told that due to the read codes on my records they couldn't access any medical info about me I had to give them all the information

No you cant as far as I am concerned - you go on about the poor and sick being singled out in this country yet you seem happy to live in a country where by your own admission the poor and sick in the country where you are living don't even get free treatment. what are you doing about that???

You say you lived in the UK for 46 years so what in Aug 2016 I will have been paying Tax and NI into this country for 46 years the length of time you have lived here is totally irrelevant you do not live here now I do.

You want to spend the NHS resources (that presumably you are not at present paying for) on stupid things like reminders well what happens to the next 82 year old who needs a hip replacement and cant have one because the NHS is going broke.my own 84 year old father needs a hip replacement he cant have one until May he is in terrible pain but there is only so much money to pay for everyone who needs one and you want to waste money

Then there would be no need for reminders as dentists and pharmacists would just refuse to treat patients,
My Husband takes medication that he is not allowed to stop taking, OK his exemption is based on age but if it were not and he was refused medication his life would be put at risk, Pharmacists will not risk that happening as they are medical professionals with a duty of care but they sure as h-ll wouldn't want to pay NHS 'fines'

Just as well you're not the government then. I apologise that you want to control others' thoughts but can't do so.

Eh? That's not what I said.

Here, let me remind you. You asked Does your new country give people who are poor or sick free services without asking for proof?
I said No. Where did I suggest such things don't matter?
You really should take more care remembering the questions you ask and read the responses properly.
what are you doing about that???
Nothing. Aside from your inability to get that bit right, I already said, the UK is my country. I can vote in UK elections. I am not a citizen of the country I'm currently living in.

You say you lived in the UK for 46 years so what
So what nothing. You said what's it do do with me. I told you why. You don't like it, fine, it's not up to you as much as you'd apparently like it that way.
You want to spend the NHS resources (that presumably you are not at present paying for) on stupid things like reminders
There you go again. Why can you not grasp that is not what I am saying? Once again, I have repeatedly referred to the inconsistency of one government department issuing reminders (and they are by no means alone) while another doesn't. That is not the same as saying I want them to spend resources on reminders.

And for your information I'm still subject to UK taxation. You would do well to cut out your assumptions. You wouldn't sound so prejudiced then.

Now, will you please stop deliberately and repeatedly misrepresenting what I say.

Thank you I wondered why you mentioned my avatar, I am having problems with it I cant see it next to my reply boxes and over my user name and the main one on the side panel is my favourite actor, I really thought it wasn't working until your comment and went into my settings, realised I had the union flag.

So do NOT make assumptions and call me racist I am anything but

That's got that out of the way

    Now I also asked

does it have a benefit system that allows free medication and services as a matter of course
    and you said NO

So its clear you live in a country that does not give poor and sick people IE people on benefits free medicine as part of their benefits.

You did say you want the NHS to spend resources on reminder you said

Better still, there wouldn't be all this money wasted chasing up a fee that wouldn't exist but for a few pence on a reminder.

Sometimes a little money spent saves a lot.- sounds like wanting resources spent to me

I refuse to waste any more time on you I just hope that when you do decide to come back to the UK the NHS is still there for you to use.

That's what I said. But you can also prevent your address from being available too, if you really want. The NHS like to keep it a secret that any of their staff can access your demographic information. So much for consent and transparency.
