To clarify comments following the post from Ayresm88. We make a standard admin charge of £60 including VAT. This charge reflects the average cost of dealing with fines received and includes the driver search, liaison with the issuing third party and often our settlement of the fine or fee and pursuit of payment (with many council parking and toll charges, the fine must be settled by us in the first instance).

When a driver of a hire vehicle incurs a parking fine or other charge it has no impact on premiums, it is not an insured expense and the hirer must settle it - as they would with their own vehicle - this is clearly communicated from the outset to all customers.

We appreciate it is inconvenient for the small proportion of cases where a fine or charge has been made in error by a third party, however where customers contact us to show that a fine or charge has been reversed, we will review the case.

We can confirm Ayresm88 evidenced the charge had been reversed and we have made a full refund.

    Kind Regards,

    Auxillis Online Team

To clarify comments further; it's not a FINE!

I know for a fact that it doesn't cost £60 per ticket. £10-£15 is closer to the mark, and as somebody who runs a fleet far bigger than yours, I'm fairly qualified to know.
Yes, there is a tangible cost to the business, but it is nowhere near that. You are gouging the customer unnecessarily.

It's the accident management companies with hyper-inflated prices like yours that are increasing the premium for all drivers.

I have sent all.ky detail alongside confrimation that all the fines have been cancelled. Had no reply from yourself (after I sent my reg in) or the charge team.

These are not fines, it's absolutely critical that you never refer to them as fines or penalties, when dealing with hire or lease companies

  • I've just received a fine from the same company. They havent provided evidence of the PCN and have taken the money straight from my account! I've not even had the right to query or appeal the "PCN". I'm a single mum with not much money to spare. This "fine" has now put me into my overdraft, which will also incur a further fee to myself. It's awful that a company that's supposedly there to help with a courtesy car in times of need, seems to be taking advantage of people. I have no faith or trust in this company whatsoever. I will be appealing the so called "fine", and therfore the admin fee, but what a waste of time! I will also be raising my concerns with my insurance company that forwarded me to this company.

Tell your bank to return the sum as it is not covered by your Hire t&cs and is under dispute.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Lianabanana84, if you are going to post on someone else's thread, at least have the courtesy to read it before you do.

You would be well advised to remember that too.

My goodness! This was my first ever post on a thread on this forum, so please excuse me.
Keith, I have read the full thread and replies, just in between doing the dinner for my kids, washing up, bathing them and putting them to bed, I have hastily typed something out, and in inverted commas have used the word fine, which it is clearly not.
Apologies to the poster who clearly stated it should not be referred to as such.
Keith I will try not to offend anyone, should I choose to post again - I'm not sure I will now for fear of being told off :rotfl:

You will be if you post in this thread

Everyone is politely asked to read up on this in the Newbies DAQ thread near the top of the forum

Spend some time reading through there to get an understanding of the game you are now caught up in and how to deal with this

Then if you need more help you must start your own thread
