:rotfl::rotfl:Most parking sites in front of shops and retailers are private land. You actually have no right to park here at all
Errrrmmm...yes, people certainly do. e.g. when car parks are owned by Supermarkets and invite shoppers to park there, of course they can. Don't be ridiculous. Why can't people just figure ourt how to drive and park properly in this country.
Be careful what you wish for. If they did, you would have to get an honest job. There are hungry debt collectors out there that need your money for their commission so they can go to the pub and laugh at you on your dime. Cheers!
Not an honest job. The above is not an honest aim of a person with any sense of morality. Debt collectors are parasites. Bet your family are proud of you.I've never had a parking charge in my life.
Nothing to be proud of, even CPS' Perky's family has, I believe. I have. The heinous crime in my case was shopping for too long before Christmas once or twice. Why should a third party parasite protection racketeer, charge me half as much again as was spent in the shops, for no service whatsover?
None of us here would be daft enough to shell out to poxy debt collector scum.Your lying.
You can't spell.
Re 'disabled parking bays':
What's your understanding of a PPC's statutory duties towards the public at large with relevant protected characteristics (e.g. cancer, but no Blue Badge) as set out under the Equality Act 2010? Tell them - even if they have a clear need to park near to a shop - to use a normal 'other' bay until they can get a Blue Badge in a few weeks?
You think parents with babies have more right to a special bay close to a facility, than people with cancer?
You think breaking statutory duties under the law is OK then?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I promise I have read a load of the threads on this topic . 😁😁
Where I used to park changed their pay methods and I set up what I thought was 'flexi parking' where I hd an account Nd I assumed they would debit my account when I left the parking lot . That didn't happen and I obviously received a few parking charges . I appealed the first one . And after reading and researching I ignored the others. I got 3 in total and I did not pay for probably around 10-13 days (due to me thinking I had an account and they had my bank details!)
I moved house and forgot about them but I received a letter this morning from DRP saying they traced me and I have to lay £148.90.
After reading threads this morning on this I'm unsure if I ignore it until I receive actual court letters or if I pay it because yes , the bottom line is I did not pay. If I do then pay this charge will the rest of the times in that period I didn't pay then pop up as fines also?
So sorry I'm asking about something that has been covered so much and thank you so much to anyone that takes the time to reply .

I think you need to read the Newbies Sticky and not loads of old/outdated threads.
That will bring you up to date on the current situation and your range of options.0 -

I agree with ALL of your other points.
If its private land us drivers have NO rights, just the privilege of being allowed to park providing we pay the correct amount.
And the £85+ charge is a legitimate deterrent for the morons who think they have the above rights.
Well said that man, you do realise you are "swimming against the tide" posting something on this forum that will get these werthers original suckers to choke on their glass of Amontillado
cheers
Arthur
I like a good Werthers mind you. I wouldn't say motorists have NO rights tbh. I would say landowners have every right to set terms and conditions for parking, and if somebody doesn't like those terms and conditions, they should not park. It's a very simple agreement under contract law. So when people say to me "I didn't know I couldn't park across two bays" I have to say "actually sir, the signage very clear on site. You've caused an onstruction by blah blah blah" when what I mean to say is "duuuuurrrrgggghhhhh."0 -
