csarina, I could weep for you. Hopefully she will burn herself out before she does any more damage.
HH - Hope DD gets well soon.

Lovely day here now, it was raining earlier but cleared up nicely. Can't believe it's still light, it would have been dark about an hour ago at home.
Off over to Yorkshire in the next half hour or so, will be glad to get there so I don't have to eat any more. Food is delicious but too much too often!
  • Good evening everyone, back from our journeyings and pretty tired but Oh so very happy. Berlin as always is a magically pretty and friendly place and the Christmas Markets are magically beautiful, we have so enjoyed our visit. We took a colleague of DD1s with us, her first visit and she was enchanted by the whole thing, it was lovely to watch her face when we shared our favourite places and things with her, like a child getting a real treat, it has been so nice and coming home is nice too. The washing is drying, we have walked Cookie and DD1 is currently decorating the tree in the lounge, I shall go and admire in a few minutes. I'll do a shopping list of fresh needs for tomorrow and we'll get that sorted out, we'll wrap last minute presents too and then have a family time and wait for Christmas day and then Boixing day when DD2, SIL and my Zebra are coming for a couple of days.

Sending love and hugs to all who have heavy burdens to bear and sadness to deal with, I've missed your company while I was away, it's nice to be back, Lyn xxx.

Csarina my heart goes out to you. I sort of took over when my Dads died, i had to but i knew my place. I remember getting back to Mom and Dads house before my Mom (she was with my Auntie) and i moved Dads coat and put it in the wardrobe so she didnt have to see it when she walked into the house. I meant it for the best of reasons but my did i get put in my place! I arranged the funerals/sorted Moms finances for her but l was careful not to overstep the mark.

Yes your GD is grieving, but so is everyone else too.

Good news i think (though i dont know how i am going to tell hubby). My daughter in South Africa are adopting another little boy. Its not general knowledge as yet but i thought i'd share my news.

    Welcome back to MrsL :T

I just phoned EA and increased my offer on the bungalow. Someone is coming to survey our house tomorrow morning so I need to get myself sorted out fairly quickly. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone, and massive ((( huggles))) to FLOSS, Deleted_User N ELONA XX
Am having a duvet day today, as feeling poop with a cold, n bad chest :( Am hoping to be better tomoz, to go out for lunch with DD n the kids, then to ALD1 for the last bits of breads, cheeses and booze. What more does a girl need ?;)
I had to send DD to pick up my script from the chemist, and she came back with only a quarter of it, so I rang them, got a very rude girl on the phone who blamed DD for not checking it:mad: I was raging at her attitude  I have to go and collect it tomoz, so watch this space ;)
Xmas wise after tomoz, I hope to be sorted, n if not it's TS ; )
JUDI fab news about the new addition hun, n glad you had a fab break Mrs LW :)

  • :hello: Good evening everyone,

I've not been keeping up this last week, but am so sorry to hear of people's sadness and family troubles, my thoughts are with you all.

I think this is the most disorganized Christmas I have ever had. Thank goodness it will only be the 4 of us, my Mum has gone to my sister's this year. I still haven't got the children all their presents yet:eek: and am planning to do the food shopping tomorrow, but as DH is working right up to Christmas eve I will have to do it on my own:(

As everyone will be working again on Sunday apart from me, I don't think I need to go overboard on the food and we aren't entertaining at all, so very low key.

    Have a good evening everyone,

    Evening all,

Csarina.......stand back as much as you can, someone will put that young lady in her place, she might then think about her siblings and everybody else who has been devastated by your son's death.....hugs to you.

We had rain this morning , but the day turned out nice later on, was out with Mossy earlier and there is a crispness which might mean frost......would prefer it to the misty weather we have had.

Congratulations to those of you who are completely organised for Christmas, not happening for me this year somehow.

    Stay safe everybody.
