    Morning everyone,

Up late today as had a rough night with sinus pain etc, my DOH took the girls out and it's a beautiful morning here, clear and bright.

Had a nice time yesterday with the DSS's, they didn't make it over until nearly four as had been out the night before doing the 12 pubs of Christmas (don't ask) so were ready for a big roast and polished off everything and second helpings. That is the last we will see of them for a while as the youngest flies off to Thailand for a month the day after he comes back from their Xmas break, trying not to worry about that.
Today have the vet coming over to check on Bill's progress, other than that loads of little chores need to be done.

Get well wishes to poorly folk, hugs and strength to all going through difficult times x

    Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry to hear your news Floss. I hope things settle down with your DGD Csarina. Didn't you say she'd found her father that can't be easy for her?

    Hester, I hope DD's ok.

The DC's and their OH's were here for a Christmas meal yesterday because we will only have DS on the day itself. We had a beautiful rib of beef which I managed not to overcook (most of us like it still almost mooing as DS says, I like it a bit more cooked and DS' girlfriend likes only a hint of pink but there were enough different places on the joint that we all managed slices at the right doneness).

I need to tidy round today, wrap DH's presents (he does all the others) and maybe make the mince pies. I've got a few more cards to wite and deliver as well.

    Have a good day.
  • Morning ((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Snoozer, it was my sons lady friend who found my son, granddaughter arrived with the police and paramedics.

GD continues to plough her way through, no regard to anyone, her mothers father was there yesterday, tried to rein her in and was vilely sworn at for his trouble. Doubt if he will help her with money now!!

My ex had declared himself administrator, he is going over tomorrow and seeing a local solicitor. GD upset her half sister by telling her she cannot go to see her dad today as GD wants to go. I really do think now she needs psychiatric help, if she doesn't we all will!! She is alienating all the family, yes it was her father, she used him as a money pot. she needs to remember he has parents, brother, sisters etc she also has 3 siblings, the eldest of whom is acting, at 10, in a much better manner.

I am at the stage now of not eating or sleeping, I just want him cremated and done with. Even that GD has views about, wants to scatter his ashes from the back of his lorry on the M1!! despite telling her it cannot be done, I would not be surprised if she did not try.

    AArrgghhhh sorry to unload.
  • Hi all
I've dropped hubby at work, popped in to DD's, dropped off some veg's, changed youngest's nappy, collected DGD, been to the SM & the car wash, unloaded the shopping, made breakfast for DGD, swapped the washing on the maiden again, folded the dry & put it away, suddenly noticed that DGD was very quiet, she'd snuck upstairs and gone to sleep! They have been through the mill a bit lately, though DD is now feeling a bit better.
Tru, thank you so much, your songs & carols really make my day.
Csarina, I share your pain where families are concerned.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

If she tries to carry out her plan she is likely to find herself either in a lot of trouble or referred for treatment. She could cause a bad accident if the wind blows in the direction of other cars windscreens.

Being very lazy this morning but need to get a move on and hang laundry either outside or in the utility room, have a late breakfast and tidy the kitchen. I still have home made soup in the fridge and lots of fruit and yoghurts etc.

I will pop out later for some milk and see if there are any YS bargains that I can freeze and look for little chocs for stockings.

Hugs to everyone especially csarina, dumpling,Hester, floss and nmlc

Just popping my head in to give virtual hugs to those having a tough time xx

I,m on 'mission christmas' trying to get things organised - DH has thrown his back out, and is being a PITA - why are men such bad patients - he won,t accept any help or pain relief - but called me from the kitchen (read sanctuary) to dial a number on his phone for him  to name but one additional chore - bahh bloomin humbug :D

I,m off to Sainsbo,s with DD when she finishes work - only a month till she goes off to Kenya for 3 months with VSO - she,s working Christmas Day, and wants to take a few treats in for the staff as they have raised £100 for her :T:T

Elona, I am sure she needs treatment, she is driving every nuts, she has threatened her Mother if she goes to the funeral she will drag her out with her hair.....not normal behaviour at all. She thinks because she lived with her Dad until earlier this year she knows what he wanted. Sorry she does not, I do and its not whats going on now. No one can get through to her at all. At 18 she is just not capable of dealing with this.
  • Just grabbed a sarnie and a quick five minute catch up, because I still have lots to do, the sprogs can help me with getting the house sorted, I don't have the energy or the capability to do all of it anymore :(

Csarina (((Hugs))) It is bad enough that you have lost your son without some selfish person kicking off xxx

Hester that is sad news, so many young people leaving us :(

Floss sorry to hear of your loss xx

Nobody I talk too feels in the least bit festive, just jaded from shopping, cleaning and life in general.

Little lodger had us in fits last night, I went into the kitchen to make a cuppa and he managed to find his toy space hopper under the tree, dragged it out carefully and was starting to open it when I heard a squeak, came into the front room to find him hiding behind my chair with it  the little so and so :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It has now been put into the cupboard until Christmas day. It is funny, he didn't touch anything else, none of our presents and none of his others, he just carefully nudged them over to one side , it was just that one toy. I think it is because he had one before and loved it, but loved it so much he destroyed it.

Right sarnie has been munched so I had better get back to the fray.

Love and Hugs to all who are having a difficult time xxx

    BFN xx

    Afternoon all,

Nmlc have you mentioned to your parents about the Power of Attorney papers your SIL mentioned? You really ought to you know.

What they are in effect doing is creating a wedge between you all through their own thoughtlessness.

Well, food shopping has been bought and whatever ive forgot for Christmas is not going to get bought. I'm all Christmassed out. I cant believe we go through the same thing every 12 months, its ridiculous! Ive got a few cards to write, a few pressies to wrap and the carol service down at the Retirements home and then thats me done until Christmas day.

Ive talked hubby out of going away after Christmas. He's got things he needs to do before he goes back to work and i just dont want to go.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • Just popped back on to offer another shoulder for Csarina. I hope someone can get through to your GD and make her realise how upsetting her behaviour is for the rest of the family. She's not the only one grieving and should be made to realise this. I really feel for you all.

DD has just picked up the 3 DGDs to give us a bit of a respite and is bringing them back up again later. Mr TA is now having his afternoon nap and I am just enjoying the peace and quiet! We made some pizzas and potato wedges for lunch and they were enjoyed by us all.

Have a nice evening if you can but there are so many with family troubles/poorlies on here just now xx
