Given being based in Cyprus a EE Extra plan with roaming means he can call anywhere in Europe from anywhere in Europe (excluding UK) not stuck to a landline for a few quid more than a landline i think EE represents better value. Plus you can call and text from your mobile to theirs like they were in the UK, all in both allowances. No point paying a early termination and landline in Cyprus when you both have the best available already.

Even a cheap EE mobile from Fastrack at Argos and use I assume smartphone on CYTA-Voda (which is very expensive) http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4504447.htm is much more flexible to your needs.

MTN & Primetel (CYTA reselling MVNO) for Cyprus

Should work out cheaper for Cyprus than CYTA
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

We ditched our MTN payg mobile after they changed the expiry time from 365 days to 30  They have since changed back, but t'was too late and faith was lost. The call costs were the same.

I'm not sure what you say about Primetel is correct.

which didn't get much feedback, but the Primetel signal on my UK mob was rubbish compared to CYTA

CYTA will roam on Voda UK as priority I would assume, CYTA is a governmental body. CYprus Telecommunications Authority, ie BT in the UK but still state owned.

3 ended a contract with CYTA for roaming and used MTA & Prime, thats business.

What is not correct about Primetel ?

Ah Prime was a MVNO, apparently it went MNO in April 2015...newest of 3 mobile networks, probably why signal is poor it will be building up its network hardware and signal ongoing.

550 points (of transmission and relays) for the 3G platform and a further 200 for the 4G service at launch, I assume the 3G may well be CYTA with low priority as I can only see a 4G licence for Primetel.
