Just popped back on and seen your sad news FLOSS. Sincere condolences to you and your family. So soon after your MIL's death too. It sometimes seems there is no justice. in this life. (((HUGS))))
CSARINA it seems grief always brings out the worst in people. Just when you are least able to cope with it. ((((HUGS)))) to you too.
I am on my third day with the BP monitor and my readings are far from good. I am wondering if this damned uti could be contributing to the sharp rise as I do feel as though I am running a slight temp with it too. Although I have to say that today I have felt marginally easier than I did so maybe the anti b's are starting to work after all.
I went in town for the shops opening at 10.00 this morning and all was peaceful. Not a lot of people around at all. M & S appeared a bit busier than normal but I was straight through a checkout with my few bits. I averted my eyes from all the goodies and just came out with what I needed! So that's my last little bit of shopping done, apart from the two pairs of Swarovski decorated Converse for the younger DGDs. She said she'd have them by the 21st (tomorrow) so I shall await the phone call and panic if it doesn't come!!
Lunch was a quickie - remains of the chicken curry from last night. Some left over sliced gammon, which I had popped in the freezer, is for tea with an egg and some fried new potatoes. So an easy cooking day today!
Have a nice evening folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Hello everyone
Sad news Floss.
Csarina - hope your ex can talk some sense into her.
FIL is still in hospital but hopefully he will be home tomorrow. He certainly is much better now. Sad to see the other elderly gentlemen on his ward with no quality of life
Been to where my mums ashes are as I have felt the need to be near her these past couple of weeks. Strange how the need gets overwhelming at times. I really miss her sense of humour, she was daft0 -
Floss,
Sincere sympathy, I know how it feels as I unexpectedly lost both my beloved parents within 8 weeks in 1994.
Csarina...take care of yourself and try to keep as calm as possible for your own sake, grief can do awful things to people, so maybe his daughter will come round and consider others' feelings......big hug my friend.
Lovely sunny day here, not even very cold.....out with brother, his partner and DS2 for dinner....DS will not be here for Christmas so that was his present, brother's birthday present which was a tad late, lovely meal.
OH did his usual fry-up this morning as DS2 was here, not sure how long ago it was since I have had a fry, really enjoyed it, so we just had pasta with a creamy sauce since, easy to do and filling enough.
OH brought in the tree yesterday....we have a small one in a pot....put a set of lights on it and 1 ornament so thats his bit done as far as decoration is concerned! Some fairies will, no doubt, finish the job during the night and we will be all set!
Rec eived a lovely hamper from one of DS2 suppliers, all types of goodies in a really nice picnic hamper, lovely thought and most unexpected.
It appears not we are not to have any rain tonight, its not cold either, as high as 14c at times.
Take care of yourselves, stay safe and well
