((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) to Floss and her husband, I know exactly how they are feeling right now.
WE are having a nightmare with DS2's daughter, she is determined to do everything her way which includes upsetting both me and her Mother. She has already drawn money out of her dads bank account and also emptied his wallet.......no sign of a will....told to go and see a solicitor, did she take any notice? No!! My sons body has been removed to a funeral parlour in Corby rather than Kettering, desite being told that it will cost monyt to do that, the shorter the journey to the crematorium the less the travel expenses. She is now messaging everybody telling them she cannot afford to pay for the funeral......aarrgghhhhhhhh..........................I think she expected us to divvy up, well sorry no can do!!
I phoned my ex last night to see if he can talk any sense into her, he is going over on Tuesday.0 -
Hello all, Floss I am so sorry to hear your sad news.
Deleted_User that sounds so upsetting on top of all that you must be feeling.
Here we have a dry and bright day so my washing went our at 4, still dark but breezy. I am feeling a bit more human but not great and just want to sleep but have things to do.
My son has eaten all the things from the treat box, I have not decorated and still cards to write, don't suppose it will be all that dreadful if they are late. At some point I will have to replenish the treats but think I may hide them, at the age of 24, him not me, one might have expected slightly more restraint.
I am cooking spare ribs and some form of stir fry later. I don't know exactly what though.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Csarina that is so awful. I appreciate she is grieving but some respect needs to be shown to yourself as well.
If she has arranged the funeral and signed the contract then she is liable for the funeral expenses, so unless anyone wants to help her, she is totally liable.
Sending you an extra special hug

Morning all,
oh Floss not another death! Sending my love and condolences to the family. So many of us have lost loved ones this year and i'm still in shock from losing my Auntie June (or AJ as i affectionately called her).:(
Not sure what i'm doing today. Youngest wants me to go with him pressie buying for his Dad, hubby wants to go to the garden centre and we need food.
Csarina, DSD's daughter isnt thinking straight is she? Her Mother needs to rein her in. Easier said than done i know when she is grieving herself.
I'm still mithering about my middle son and i had a bad dream last night about Mother.
I must not worry, i must not fret.... deep breaths...
Meanwhile, hubby has put my lights up and they look lovely.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I am so sorry for your news and the reactions of certain family right now.
DDs and son in law came round yesterday to put up the tree and lights and more lights and bannister garlands and decorations and cards and more decorations .
Son in law also replaced a lot of light bulbs that had burnt out so it looks much less gloomy here. They also drove me to pick up heavy stuff like turkey crown, special gammon joint, potatoes, onions, carrots, peppers, frozen veg and mince to freeze etc as well as lots of fruit and eggs.
Having a very lazy morning before family start to arrive on Thursday or even earlier and things get busy. Still have to start hand sewing cushion I promised youngest but that should be relaxing to do.
Hugs to all especially floss, csarina, Judi, Lame Wolf and anybody who could use one."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon all
Floss, I'm so sorry to hear your news.
Hugs to Csarina, what is it with families.
We had an early start this morning, DD had an emergency referral to the local mental health hospital, so we had all the DGC from 9 this morning, they have just been collected.
I've also just been told an ex colleague has died, not sure of the cause, he was only in his early 50's
I'm doing hubby a chop and chips for lunch, I can't get my head round anything more complicated.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Floss - Condolences to you and your family, what an awful time for you all.
Csarina. - grief affects people in so many ways and as others have said it does not sound like DSD is thinking at all straight, fingers crossed that your ex can get through to her.0 -
Floss sincere condolences, hun.
Oh dear, so many people losing loved ones.:( I cannot even begin to know how you must be feeling, but my thoughts are with you.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
