Nokia 6300 turn of flashing blue light

I have a nokia 6300 and when i get a text the blue light on the side flashes is there a way to turn this off please

You need to change your settings for each profile you use.

Follow these directions.

Menu
Settings
Profiles
(Select the profile you want to change)
Personalise
Light Effects
(Select to off)

I think this is a really cool feature on the phone, although I can see why it could be annoying especially at night. Although my n73 blinks furiously at me all the time, even when no text message is recieved. I wish you could set this just to flash as an alert rather than all the time.
