Caravan Finance Black Horse and the Police

Hi

I am hoping to get some advice.

I purchased a Caravan on finance with my ex fianc! prior to the relationship breakdown. Finance was in my name and after getting into difficulties and a breakdown spoke with Black Horse

Was told they are not interested in helping and couldn't offer any assistance and I should return the caravan to the dealer. Dealer wasn't interested and as had too much stock and was told to sell privately.

Caravan was brand new and used once. Could not sell and fell behind with repayments but put the caravan into storage until I could sell and settle finance.

Caravan is still in my possession and has not been sold.

I have to be honest put my head in the sand due to the breakdown but have not heard from the finance company. They have all my contact details and phone numbers email addresses work address etc etc.

This evening I have had the Police visiting me at home asking me to come in voluntarily to make a statement under caution for vehicle theft.

Has anyone ever experienced or heard of this type of action please as obviously very very worried.

Thank you

Have you stolen a vehicle? If not then there is no case to answer. If they suspect you have stolen a vehicle and if they have sufficient evidence then they need to arrest you instead of engaging in a fishing exercise. Stay home.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

    Thank you

Is this defenatly in relation to the caravan ?

Sounds to me like something entirely different, you can't steal something when you are named on a credit agreement pertaining to that vehicle.

If you have not paid, you are guilty of defaulting on the agreement, not of theft, very strange.

You will just have to see what they say to you.

make easy and go in, or they will just arrest on suspicion of.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Yes definitely in relation to the caravan they came to my house this evening told me I was not being arrest but invited me to make a statement at an agreed time and date at police station.

I asked if I was being arrested they said no they were very polite.
  • Tell them to obtain a warrant if they feel you have committed an arrestable offence.

If they took the trouble to come to your home, why didnt they bring a statement form and take your statement there and then to save inconvenience?

Do you know how much it would cost to have a solicitor accompany you for an unspecified length of time down the nick? I dont but i do know how much it is for them just to write a letter..!

OP if you have never stolen a vehicle, and your name is on the credit agreement for the caravan tell the police you have NO intention of making a statement.
Is this a case of your ex !!!!!! stirring? If so tell them to arrest her for wasting their time.

From £140 per hour or part of, charged from office to returning to office.
    If arrested, its free.
They only interview people on invite to get evidence to arrest them because they have not got enough evidence to arrest them now.
