Look on the bright side - the roads should be pretty quiet next Friday...

Why is something special going on ?
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

  • Its the Friday before Christmas, it will always be Christmas on Dec 25th as long as i draw breath, not some mid winter festival in PC speak.

I thought that Tuesday was the solstice, the most important part of Yuletide ;)
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Tesco was literally frightening today. There must have been six cars in the car park, and I very nearly had to wait before checking out.

On the way back home, 15 miles, I counted at least three cars.

    Christmas madness...

Meanwhile, I couldn't even park in the local Lidl - had to park on the road instead.

Perhaps that's a sign of why Lidl are doing well at the moment, and Tesco aren't.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

What's a Lidl? Is that like IKEA?

I take pleasure in wishing those who offer a "winterval" greeting a Happy Christmas. Sometimes it's a 'Happy and Holy Christmas' if I'm in a bold mood. :D

Drink drivers will be out in force today, as per usual. I keep a notepad and pencil in the central console because if you don't get the reg number of the other vehicle (they will simply drive off at speed or run away) an insurance claim may count as a "fault" claim if your insurer ends up paying for any damage.
