I have had 2 fixed rate savings accounts with them and have had no problems.

They are covered by FSCS so no worries there , their correspondence address and telephone contact is in Newcastle.

It's primarily a bank in Nigeria, formerly for the wealthy only. But it has a UK subsidiary open to the general public now (FirstSave).

Is a multi-national Nigerian bank and the largest bank in Nigeria
Its being going in the UK as FBN Bank with savings products under the Firstsave brand since the early 2000's as I recall.

Their online portal is run by a subsidiary of the Newcastle building society who offer such a service to be run by them on behalf of others.
