Just a quick message, i dropped in before our first 5 night trip to Vegas in April and everyone's input was very helpful.

We have decided to go back for Christmas and New Year (10 nights now)

Any general tips/advice/recommendations for christmas/NY?

No advice because it's years since we were there for Christmas, but have a lovely time.

Some shows are dark the weeks before Christmas. That's all I can think of.

and take warm clothes, not done Christmas but was there one year a couple of weeks before and it can get cold especially at night.

I will be packing warm clothes when I go towards the end of the month.

Also don't expect Christmas to be like the UK, the americans celebrate it but its not such a big deal over there.

New year on the other hand is a different kettle of fish.

We will be there 20th to 30th November.
Just booked myvegas free tickets to Love on Thanksgiving.
We saw Love on Thanksgiving 4 years ago.

I'll be there 3rd - 12th December and Love is dark so had to get Ka with Myvegas freebies. Not looking forward to it to be honest but maybe if I go in with low expectations I might enjoy it :-)

We arrive on the official opening day of the the new casino 'Lucky Dragon' so hoping to get to it so we can say we were there on the opening day lol

We are going to try to get to Lucky Dragon on opening day too. That's the day before we fly home.

Have been to a couple of opening day/nights before and they are horribly crowded, so might change our mind about it nearer the time.
