We really do live in a society that rewards stupidity. Free Vegas holiday because they're incapable of booking a flight that departs from the right continent.

I hadn't noticed that, I think it was added after I read the story.

Most times I would agree with you, but their circumstances did tug at my heartstrings a bit (their jobs, that she saved 2 years for it).
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Just bought the spice market buffet on groupon.

Haven't been there before...we will be partaking of the alcohol.
Hope the mash lives up to expectation Stuie.

They are generous with the drinks. One time they left the 'champagne' on our table. I was thinking 'oh, that's really nice'. Googled it. $6 or something like that. Ok I have no class. :rotfl:
  • With the hotel promo rates for AAA / AA can I use my UK AA membership card to get the discount? Thank you

Yeah....we had the same thing one year down at Main Street Station champagne brunch buffet.
The waitress plied us with loads of drink, then on her next visit she just put the whole bottle on the table......mind you,I don't think it was anywhere near as classy as $6 a bottle.:rotfl:

Same here, that bit definitely wasn't in the story when you posted it. I can't help feeling sorry for them. However hubs is fuming about them being 'rewarded for stupidity'!

The red wine was very nice there a couple of years back and there were three bottled lagers to choose from. This was before we realised we're rubbish at drinking and buffeting at the same time!

Stuie - that mashed potato and with the turkey gravy is what I dream of whenever I'm poorly. Ultimate comfort food!
