Help!!

Sorry I have read all these bits but I'm still confused. I e mailed G24 and asked for a POPLA number but they didn't send one they just sent an e mail back saying:
2. If you believe this decision is incorrect, you are entitled to appeal to The Independent Appeals Service, The Independent Appeals Service provides an Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme for disputes of this type. As you have complied with our internal appeals procedure you may use, and we will engage with, the The Independent Appeals Service Standard Appeals Service providing you lodge an appeal to them within 21 days of this rejection.

And a lot more besides but no number, should I appeal to these?

G24 are a member of the IPC. They don't do POPLA.

They do the IAS, as they've explained above.

The IAS are a waste of time, so I wouldn't bother if I were you.

Stand by for a barrage of toothless debt collector letters trying to scare you into paying and then... most probably nothing. G24 aren't known for taking anyone to court, and hopefully it'll stay that way for a while.

You could ask G24 for an Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme that fully complies with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Regulations, as the IAS falls short of these requirements

Just hang on first, the IAS which is the IPC sleep with debt collectors and a solicitor.

WAIT until you get more advice on here
  • I don't think I can ask them anything else, they made that quite clear:
As we have extensively investigated this Contractual Parking Charge Notice and provided you with the results of our investigation, no further investigation will be undertaken. Any further correspondence will not receive a response, the options below are still open to you.

This is standard copy and paste expected from these people.
Rude and very ignorant yes, but typical from these PPC companies and G24 is no different. I think they go to some training school that nobody knows about, if the government knew, they might be sanctioned

As said, wait until you get other replies here, good advice will follow and hopefully coupon-mad will be along shortly

IAS is discussed in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread. Never have changed my mind, it's drivel and I don't believe it is worth trying at all. Not even to drag out their stats with more losses because newbies will feel more vulnerable after a loss at appeal. So don't.

Anything that looks like it could end up with the IAS should always be countered with something along the lines of I expect you to offer an ADR service that fully complies with or exceeds the requirements as set out in the ADR regulations.
When the PPc turns round and offers IAS you could say you've been perfectly reasonable in requesting a complaint ADR entity, however IAS is not such a service., it could even be countered further by telling the IAS ( should you wish to go that far) that you will reject their findings if they are not impartial and compliant with the ADr regulations.

However it would save the effort of the previous bit just to ask for an ADR regulation complaint service and to remind the PPc that the IAS is not in any way complaint.
Therefore you are being reasonable, and the PPC is not.
