Not everybody can afford everything. That's called life. The prices are what they are. I've never been to a panto, don't feel I've missed out.0

I can tell by your cheery answer that you indeed have missed out! theyre great fun and might even muster a bit of festive cheer0 -
Have you looked around to see if any local groups already do this?
In our area there are three different pantos put on each year - they are amateur groups but work to a high standard and are so popular they sell out most years. They do charge but are much cheaper than the professional shows.
I am googling around now to see if there are any thanks !0 -
I booked our tickets in October. Kids & adults same price. £111 for 6 of us.0

I also think pantos are overpriced! For what it is- down on their luck celebrities and over the top acting. But they do sell out so someone is paying. A few weeks ago we got the last few decent seats for Bristol Snow white on the night we wanted. Would much rather go see a nice good play/ musical or ballet on xmas eve but everywhere (outside of london) only does panto!0

ive changed my mind about organising one lol, think I got caught up in the moment, this may be the only way to do it . budget for it and book it early so at least we get good seats for the money it costs. as ive looked around for local groups and theyre doing other productions not pantos.
my kids are only young and I'm learning as I go, so thanks for all the replies, I will be more prepared next year.0 -
Go to a local AmDram group one.
I used to go out with an actor. If he made £9,000 a year he was lucky. Most productions are only just about able to break even. They keep the prices as low as they can.0
