Nokia Battery Issue on Vodofone
Received today at work and maybe of interest to Nokia owners.
Dear all,
Please find below a statement that has been issued from Vodafone Device Management regarding the recently reported Nokia Battery fault.
Can you please forward this email to all mobile phone users in your department/section/Institute.
Nokia battery issue
Nokia has issued an advisory notice concerning the Nokia Battery BL-5C as there have been some isolated instances where the Nokia Battery BL-5C has, after numerous charges, been found to overheat (this notice can be found on the Nokia <http://www.nokia.com/batteryreplacement> website).
This battery is used in the following devices launched by Vodafone:
* 1100
* 6030
* 6085
* 6230
* 6230i
* 6600
* 6630
* 6680
* 7610
* N70
* N91
* E50
* E60
Nokia will replace all possible affected batteries. There are two ways in which the customer can obtain their replacement battery:-
1. Affected batteries can be checked by entering the battery serial
number at the following website http://www.nokia.com/batteryreplacement.
The customer will be informed if the battery could be affected and how to proceed.
2. Users can contact Nokia Customer Services on 0845 0455555.
If affected, Nokia will send a new battery as well as a prepaid envelope to return the faulty battery.
Vodfone have also quarantined all stock of this battery until they have been checked.
