Received today at work and maybe of interest to Nokia owners.

Dear all,

Please find below a statement that has been issued from Vodafone Device Management regarding the recently reported Nokia Battery fault.

Can you please forward this email to all mobile phone users in your department/section/Institute.

Nokia battery issue

Nokia has issued an advisory notice concerning the Nokia Battery BL-5C as there have been some isolated instances where the Nokia Battery BL-5C has, after numerous charges, been found to overheat (this notice can be found on the Nokia <http://www.nokia.com/batteryreplacement> website).

This battery is used in the following devices launched by Vodafone:

* 1100
* 6030
* 6085
* 6230
* 6230i
* 6600
* 6630
* 6680
* 7610
* N70

Nokia will replace all possible affected batteries. There are two ways in which the customer can obtain their replacement battery:-

1. Affected batteries can be checked by entering the battery serial
number at the following website http://www.nokia.com/batteryreplacement.
The customer will be informed if the battery could be affected and how to proceed.

2. Users can contact Nokia Customer Services on 0845 0455555.

If affected, Nokia will send a new battery as well as a prepaid envelope to return the faulty battery.

Vodfone have also quarantined all stock of this battery until they have been checked.

Trust this makes sense but any questions or if you require assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
