will try their customer services - be interesting to see if they have a "script" that deals with this scenario, common practice previously has been put on hold for 15 minutes then cut off call hence my frustration & reluctance to dealing with them again.!

Surely they have an email address? Why waste your own time calling them when you can't have it collected until after xmas anyway?0

Unless it's a zero cost number, personally i'd be emailing them to phone me at an appropriate time to arrange a courier collection of said item and at a time that is suitable for you.0

Argos told my mum to keep her items that were delivered in error.
Item was faulty so she went in for a replacement, none in stock but they can get one posted to her, they said next day delivery so tomorrow or the day after at most. A week later nothing had arrived, went in and they said no sign of the item being sent out. The manager refunded and said he will get another one sent out. Mum thought thats an odd thing to say as he refunded her, maybe she misheard.
A few days later one arrived, then a couple of weeks later another one arrived. She contacted them and told them she had 2 items but had been refunded. One item now being used.
Initially they said they will arrange collection, but i guess they saw the price of £5 and thought its not worth it and said to keep them.
Its something that breaks often but she always gets a replacement without a quibble. No longer being stocked now though.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
