Eventually I spoke to someone at Manchester airport who laughed at this suggestion and pointed out it had probably been taken by the cleaning crew. I would suggest your camera, like my phone, is long gone I'm afraid.
I now always travel with zip pockets.
That's what happened to my wallet last week. I got it back though.
Edit: Just had an email that my wife's jacket has turned up too. The only trouble is that it's in Singapore0 -
Although you left your camera rather than lost it have you tried googling 'lost cameras' as there are lots of web pages and sites dedicated to reuniting owners. If someone took the camera they may return the card with your precious photos on.
I managed to reunite a card with its owner via one of these sites. I found it in Mallorca and they were from Germany. So it can happen0 -
My experience of leaving items on planes is that they are lost for ever. They just disappear into a black hole where airline, airport and cleaning contractor all blame each other.0
