Faulty buggy

Hi, I purchased a Koochi buggy from a seller on Amazon 2 weeks ago and was delivered the next day. After a week I noticed the frame of the buggy was unstable and therefore unsafe. I emailed the seller to ask for a replacement and sent photos to show the fault. He agreed to send a replacement immediately. I disposed of the faulty buggy as the new one arrived the following day. However this buggy also has a fault similar but not as bad as the first one. Again ive emailed the seller, who now wants to collect both buggys before he will issue a full refund. Where do I stand as I only have one buggy?

You'll have to tell him.0

Are both buggys 'faulty' or just your opinion that they are unstable/unsafe ?
Seems a very expensive item to 'dispose of' and suspect the seller is likely to want both back before refunding you. Can you retrieve the 'disposed of' item ?0 -
Did he make no reference to wanting the item back the first time ?!
It's not particularly relevant but have you googled to see if others have noticed this fault. The problem with buggies is that they constantly try to reinvent them and it rarely seems to improve the safety.
Presumably you could go through Amazon to recover your money.0 -
Did they tell you to dispose of the faulty one? Would seem reasonable they would want it back so they can claim off their supplier.
Next time don't dispose of anything unless you have it in writing from the seller it is ok to do so.0 -
You "disposed" of it? Where :huh:I disposed of the faulty buggy0 -
You've no option but to come clean about it.... As it's only been a few days is it possible to retrieve it?0

If he wanted it back then he should have said so when he said he was sending a replacement but he just asked for photos, which I sent. The fixing on the side if the buggy doesn't click into place so it collapses when you push it. What was I supposed to do? Keep 2 buggies incase he ever decided he wanted one back? I don't have room for 2 buggies and I suppose I didn't think the replacement would be faulty too. I'm more than happy to give him the buggy back but I haven't got the first one as I've explained already0

The point is that he didn't ask for the first one back when I complained but now this one is faulty he wants both. .. why would I keep hold of buggy that I can't use when I don't have space for it0
-
Looks like this could be an expensive mistake.0

The first buggy collapses when you push it because one of the fixings on the side doesn't click into a stiff position. The replacement is near enough the same but not as bad as the first as it doesn't collapse but it slightly folds when pushed.0
