You don't know the difference between hoping and predicting.0 -

How long before they crash by 140% and we all have to stop laughing at you?0 -

Why would you want to laugh at me? Have I wronged you in some way?0 -

C'mon, be honest, doesn't looking at that chart make you feel a bit silly? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Realising I'm not as clever as I sometimes think I am.
That's why you're showing off about an inconsequential wish coming true about landlord taxes and getting a 50:50 bet correct and, after a 20 year bet, you're sitting in a £400 flat where you get an electric shock every time you walk across the nylon carpet.
Maybe you haven't got a very well developed sense of self awareness.0 -
i sometimes think this crashy guy is just a joke. i mean if i were him i would want to kill myself by now.0

HAHA, Is that the best you can hope for? Have you lost that much Crashy? Now all you can do is spectate and hope other become losers like you?
Pretty sad. Rest easy knowing that i'm looking at a new 5 yr fix at 2.69%!!! I'll be paying less to own a 3 bed than you pay in rent to live in a bedsit! no wonder you're so upset. :eek:0 -
Crashy's BCR is about 130 to 140%. This means that if the price of a £100k property fell to zero, Crashy would be £30 to £40k worse off buying it for £0 than he would have been had he bought it back when he first speculatively shorted property instead, 20-odd years ago.
No possible price reversal can put Crashy into a better position than any existing homeowner. That's some cross to bear.0 -

The only way to make the sums look better is if there's a big old crash and the HPC'er buys a much bigger house than they've been renting. Obviously begs the question is 20 years of living somewhere you don't want to live a worthwhile compromise? Plus, of course, there's the stress of being wrong for so long on top.0
